RCDays are more formal, they have a panel, some breakfast. On the other side if someone has expectations that Red Carpet Days will result in some fantastic experience that’s also not what those are about. A tour is mostly a tour, a dorm is a dorm. It’s all overwhelming and exciting no matter how you see it.

We had the same issue / question. Called IU Admissions and they advised to re-check availability on the site. Doesn’t look like there will be cancellations for Red Carpet Days in order to open up spots. So, we booked a standard tour for 4/4.
Amazingly, I just snagged two spots (that were not there earlier) for 3/25. I suggest continuing to check - they just popped up.

My son was waitlisted for Business. Didn’t receive any communication, just so happened to check the portal and saw status changed. Bummer but not really a consideration because we’re not positioned to pay full OOS tuition.

Over 80% of waitlisted applicants were admitted in 2023.

Anyone get SSA? Facebook mom said her kids is in their financial aid section of portal. Nothing for mine. Not sure if they release all at once.
I’ve been checking the FA section of the portal for the past few days, but haven’t seen anything there. Which Facebook group did you see something in?
One of the IU parents of 2028 pages. So far there is only one student in that group who received SSA. Dont know if they all come out at once or it’s by college, etc

Thanks. Yeah, I was also curious about the timing since they are being decided by different schools and not centrally.
I have not heard of SSA being released today yet but be mindful what you read this time of year on admits and money - people lie and exaggerate.

I got 1k through the national hispanic recognition program scholarship today but am yet to hear about the general ssa or Kelley petition
Maybe they will get it all out today, maybe they won’t. Maybe they’ll write a letter and mail it today. Maybe they’ll start populating the financial aid portal today and finish it next week. Most likely it comes in an email. Its a decentralized process. “released by march 15” isn’t always you see it.
Until then there’s a lot of: My best friend’s sister’s boyfriend’s brother’s girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who’s going with a girl who saw Ferris pass-out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it’s pretty serious.

Daughter’s petition for Hutton was just approved, so fyi for anyone else waiting on that. They sent an email to her gmail.
