This google search seems to show the nursing supplemental questions for '23 apps:

no Nursing in my house. Just the Honors College. I will do some more sleuthing.

Sorry I’m misreading the thread. IU is changing how Hutton is operating this year. You’ll have plenty of time to apply despite busy IB or whatever it is. The SSA application is by far the most time consuming of the IU efforts. One reason IUB is changing up the Hutton process is a lot of people apply to Hutton not understanding what it means. Honors at IU or most colleges is not the same as Honors in high school. And it won’t bring you any more money in merit in most cases. So IUB was getting all these apps along with the auto admits and its initial review.

My son just applied EA TO. I found this testing FAQ link and it states he can change his selection after applying. Let’s see happens in about 3 weeks!

Super interesting! Honors College is a big deal, you are right! I have a child at another school, and it requires a lot of additional work and research and a scholarly project
but he loves it, and I imagine Hutton is also a great HC! Thanks for the info!

Still no portal! Has anyone reached out to IU admissions to inquire about portal status recently? My son applied weeks ago. I do not want him to bother an already overwhelmed admissions office if someone already has the answer to when they will be sending out portal information. I am surprised that they have not sent an email to applicants explaining the delay.

We did too! Do they need official transcripts sent from Parchment or just the ones we have? Yay! At least it is moving!

Same. Finally!

My son’s portal said official transcript had been uploaded (our highs school uses Schoolinks for all of the counselor/teacher parts of the application) on 9/18.

It also said they needed test scores though which is strange because he self reported them in the common app and filled out the IU score submission form last week. Anyone else have that issue?

I can’t tell if my son’s ACT scores are there. He included them in the common app and it says he’s using the scores but I don’t see them anywhere. Would it say they were missing in the checklist?

They need official transcripts, I believe.

My daughter’s said they are needed too. She also has her self-reported SAT listed on common app (in tests section) and asked to include. I don’t think she did the form yet though. She is going to take it one last time in a few weeks so we will probably wait and save the money until after since they superscore. It does take like 10 days from college board though. I think once the self reported are there you will be fine for consideration
they will just leave it necessary until they are officially uploaded.

My son submitted his through the link on the IU admissions site and listed them in common app. I do not think you have to send official score report until enrolled. Good luck to your daughter on the October test.

My son’s portal says scores are missing.

Thanks.

This just seems too good to be true. Why does a top 10 business program need to do this? I always thought direct admits were for schools who had trouble attracting a lot of students. Why don’t more people know about or take advantage of this? If IU Kelley is in the same tier as other top public B schools - Mich, Wisconsin, UVA, Berkeley - how are they needing to do direct admits?

I can’t speak for them but there are other lesser ranked schools with harder admissions.

It’s a huge school - like 8k kids - and it seems like those who apply to Michigan, the Ivies and more use it as a fallback. So they ‘catch’ a ton of top or near top kids who apply as a just in case. It’s also a bit lower cost wise.

They obviously deliver solid outcomes career wise as well.

I think they built a strategy that works to feed the demand they have in a very competitive marketplace.
