Is going to school from 6:55 to 2:02 depressing?

I can’t spend seven hours in school and then have to deal with homework. It’s so depressing.

Should I drop academic decathlon so I can leave at 12:22? It’s one of my main ECs, but this year really doesn’t count for much, since I’m a senior and my application will already be in by the time of the competition.

If you won’t regret not doing it, then I would say drop it.

I think you’re fine.

I have classes from 7:12am to 3:16pm, and on Wednesdays I only leave school 6:30pm because of an 8th period.

We’ll survive.

Well, at least you still get home while the sun is out, so that’s a plus

I’d suggest not going to a 6:55 class.

There’s a reason my two worst classes started at that time.

****, and I thought my school started early…

I go to school from 8:30 to 4:15. That’s not including the two hours of sports practice I have every season. Then it’s another hour after that until I get home. I would kill for your schedule :/

I go to school from 8-2:25.
I’d say suck it up and take the classes…

Going to school at all is despressing…but then there’s the insane people on this site cramming 7 APs and 3 varsity sports.

Some kids in other countries would love to be able to school for 7 hours a day.

senior year for me will start at 6 AM and end probably at 3?
so no.

Ending at 2:02?

That’s already pretty dang early.

Holy crap! I go to school from 7:50 - 3:00, and I think that’s a pretty early schedule.

However, I feel worse for my friends in Korea. They have school from 7:00 - 4:00. Then, they have to go to learning centers until 11. Then, they go home to do homework. All this PLUS Saturday classes!

wow. that’s pretty early. but if you get out at 2, i’d say its worth it.
unless you’re not a morning person. i’m not a morning person AT ALL, and one of my biggest problems with school was (and still is) waking up early. i almost wanted to transfer -__- but basically it made my life miserable, and at the end of the year i accumulated about 20 latenesses per year.

anywhooo, i don’t know about you, but if you can handle waking up that early then definitely take it. i would love to get out of school at 2.

Seven hours? That’s nothing. My school lasts over eight and then I’m still at school until nine or ten thirty during certain seasons.

Umm, in NYC, school is 8 hours to 8 hours and 30 minutes long…

Yeah this is really nothing. My old school was 7-2, new school is 7-6 and 7-9 on days with night classes. But if you don’t care for the EC, drop it! have fun your senior year :]

Wow, I wish I lived where you do. 4 hours of school?! We run from 7:20 to 2:20! PLUS extracurriculars, often times during production for the school newspaper I have to stay from 7 to 9 or 7 to 9:30.

Wow! That’s nothing! I do 8 to 3 everyday then EC usual run until 5

Dude. I have to be at school by 7:30 AM and it doesn’t even end until 3:07 PM. That’s not counting the days I have club or marching band practice. Those days I don’t even leave the gates until 5 PM. -____-
I also know of a performing arts high school in my area that starts at 7 AM and doesn’t end until 6 PM. That’s not even counting clubs either.
Your schedule isn’t depressing at all. :</p>
