Is it too late to change my major..?

Hello everyone. I am currently a sophomore architecture and fashion student at a highly ranked university. I really do have a passion for architecture and fashion and most days love what I am doing.
With that being said, lately I have been feeling extreme guilt and resentment as my chosen majors because they have no real impact on people. I feel like I maybe should have chosen a major where I can help people in something like social work and keep my love for design as a side hobby. But I am already in the midst of completing me second year of these devoted classes, I’ve spent countless hours and a ton of money on them.
Is it too late to turn back? Should I feel as guilty as I do because I’m not helping people? What should I do?

@Jeanstu It is not too late to turn back. You should not feel guilty either.

You should do what you love. Your majors do have impacts on people. Having beautiful buildings and beautiful clothes makes people happy.

If you want to be in contact with needy people more directly, you can donate money or your time by volunteering.

You can have an impact on people by how you treat your future colleagues and employees. Both architecture and fashion have professional associations that try to help the less fortunate in various ways, like by introducing inner city kids to the study of architecture, providing proper job interview attire to the homeless, etc. it is great that you are thinking of how you can make a difference.

Actually, if you manage to work for a firm where you’re going to build energy-efficient or energy-neutral, low-cost, well-designed apartment buildings for social housing in urban area, you’ll have had an IMMENSE impact upon people, families, children, and the country as a whole.
