Of course it seems that way, but perhaps someone has a counterexample?
I’m givi them a week or so to respond to all of the issues that have been brought to their attention. They already got the “flag” to report posts fixed! One down…??? To go.
The whole format is what needs to be fixed. My eyes hurt VERY quickly with the redo. There’s too much white, the font is too small and there’s too much room between posts.
No. After two days of getting used to it, it’s perfectly fine except for some issues and the color. But the color grown on me. In hindsight this upgrade isn’t too bad. It’s just a sudden change. I seen this on many other sites. They change most of the site and people complain. In about 2 weeks few people would be complaining.
This is a downgrade. The colors are awful, it does not scale with the size of the browser, way too much unused screen area, the adverts take up more screen area than previously. I can go on and on. Next time get a professional web designer.
The Common App was worse this year, imo, especially in October.
I am pretty sure the ACA federal website rollout was a lot rougher than this… they are getting things squared away. I see that the “latest posts” has now gotten rid of all the pinned posts at the top. It will take a while, but should get better.
Yes, but it’s my understand the ACA website failed from the start. It wasn’t really an upgrade. One could make a case for some of the Windows releases.
Am I not remembering correctly, or is the post menu significantly changed. I find this small reply box with small font quite awkward. The more I use this new forum structure, the more I dislike it. I expect that I will be spending less time on this site in the future.
Data, one thing I do like is that, the more you type, the Reply box expands so you can see your entire post. What I don’t is mentioned on a few of the other threads. Most especially, that they just dumped this on us, without any key or directions. I’ve got a tab with CC in the old format- just one I hadn’t closed and just that page (just to observe the diff; if I dare try anything to it, it will go away.)<br>
Descuff, if folks aren’t complaining in 2 weeks, lots of credit has to go to other posters who banded together and helped each other find their way.
The Common App release was rotten. At least our participation on CC is discretionary.
iPhone use has become much more tedious.
That honor, now and forever, goes to Slate.
This CC “upgrade” is buggy, lost some useful features, added some stupid stuff like avatars, and wound up with a different look that some will like and some will not, but at least it’s still mostly usable.
