It's National Chocolate Day - Have You Done Your Part to Celebrate?!

Pick a day, any day, ALWAYS something to celebrate it seems…

Today is National Chocolate Day. http://nationaldaycalendar.com/2014/10/27/october-28-2014-national-chocolate-day/

Now, I’m not encouraging OVER eating, but share how you have indulged in this national day of celebration TODAY.

I’ll start. Just enjoyed a Halloween pack of Reeses minis - 4 mini-mini Reeces cups. :)

Who’s up for the challenge???!

This is s challenge? Everyday is national chocolate day. :)

I am going to have some mocha ice cream with chocolate chips in it… For starters. :)

Oh, that sounds delicious dstark! Mocha ice cream!!!

I like Reeces cups too. Had them yesterday.

I have to be careful with the mocha ice cream. My self control isnt that good. :)

Not wanting to be the instigator of a sudden influx of people on the Weight Loss For Dummies or Diet/Exercise thread, I will also encourage chocolate self control. ;)

Lol!

I keep a bag of Hershey Kisses in the fridge. Allow myself 2 a day. It handles my chocoholic tendencies in an easy to portion format. Good things in moderation!

I will take up the challenge. Ghirardelli 60% dark chocolate square here I come.

Can I wait a day? I’ve got the blood work for my physical tomorrow, so I’m trying to be good today.

I bought some swiss chocolate mini-bars in a bag at Costco Ontario–2.5 pounds for $15! I will eat one or more and give out a few to folks I see today. They’re yummy & I gave a few for my sister’s 50th birthday lunch we celebrated on Saturday at Neiman Marcus with sisters, mom and SisIL.

shellfell you could celebrate by buying today and saving for tomorrow
I made some double chocolate pumpkin cookies (easy 3 ingredients) that are not too bad for you.

Three ingredients…pumpkin, chocolate cake mix and chocolate chips??? (trying to take a guess…)

Yes, you can also use brownie mix.

Bought my son a ChocoLove bar - will have a square with him when he gets home from school.

Reading this thread, it appears that there are people who do not keep chocolate in the house? And do not eat chocolate every night?

Thanks for the heads-up @abasket as I had no idea that today was a day to overindulge more than I usually do!

Lindt European Specialties are my weakness.
http://www.lindtusa.com/shop/european-specialties

Gelato for me tonight.

DH brought home a small chocolate anniversary cake last night for supper, so I will force myself to have another small piece today. If DS doesn’t beat me to it.

Things you learn on CC.
I haven’t celebrated today but I do have book club tonight. I can hope the person bringing dessert know that it is a holiday.

I did not do my part today. However, does it count that yesterday on my way to go running, I stopped at the grocery store and got a Seattle Chocolates peanut butter bar, sat in the park and ate it, and then left before going running?

@busdriver, ALWAYS a good idea to get a jump start on a “holiday”!!!
