That’s unbelievably frustrating. Like the other aspects of the petition, nothing is apples to apples. My daughter has exactly a 3.8 unweighted. Her school does not weight, A- is worth 3.7, and only core classes in the gpa. It’s rigorous and no grade inflation to be had. She got a 5 on APUSH for instance and worked her butt off for an A- in the class. She has one B and when converted to a non A- scale like Michigan she has a 3.96. Anyway, just came here to say it’s not equal. At all. It’s hard to compete against weighted gpas and schools where they have grade inflation and retakes.
