no one can ever win…thats why its called FAITH…you have to trust, you have to believe…(im not trying to preach)…thats the whole point of faith…believing in God without concrete evidence. It can never go past that…if you dont want to believe it, thats fine.

paro: atheism is a religion, it’s equally difficult to prove god exists and to prove that he doesn’t.

i don’t see how atheists can be offended by religious people unless they go “there is a god and you will go to hell if you don’t believe that.” often times christians are perceived as preachy when they are just expressing their beliefs. atheists, however, tend to mock religions (intentionally or not) and attack religious people for being defensive. some (certainly not all, and i’m not referring to anyone specific on this forum) people automatically consider themselves intellectually superior since they are not “bounded by a religion”, yet all the argument they can present are invalid and weak. they are the ones who annoy the hell out of me.

lol jae, u have nooo idea how intense we are on here.
thanks for the comment, tho! gluck with cornell =)
u can just leave us to our discussion tho haha - we’re all good, no worries

"A well-known scientist (some say it was Bertrand Russell) once gave a public lecture on astronomy. He described how the Earth orbits around the sun and how the sun, in turn, orbits around the centre of a vast collection of stars called our galaxy.
"At the end of the lecture, a little old lady at the back of the room got up and said: “What you have told us is rubbish. The world is really a flat plate supported on the back of a giant tortoise.”
"The scientist gave a superior smile before replying, “What is the tortoise standing on?”
“You’re very clever, young man, very clever,” said the old lady. “But it’s turtles all the way down!”

jyankees…you’ve got to be kidding…“no evidence whatsoever”!!! wth…where does the universe end…how did the universe start…if you want to ask the question who created god…ill ask you who created the universe?? it didnt just APPEAR…like poof

you’re assuming that God cant change his “mind”. I’m sure that if someone prayed hard enough with true faith then God would answer those prayers.

God knows the ultimate plan and how everything works out…but becaue he gave people free will it doesnt exactly work like clockwork. God wants to be accepted and loved by everyone, but people have to accept him. Prayer is a means to communicate with God and tell him what you want and praise Him for His doing…God listens to some prayers and He doesnt answer others it depends on how answering the prayer fits in with His overall plan.

Evidently, you have failed to grasp the logic. If god is almighty and lies above all dimensions then god would not even be a link in a chain, but would affect every step in all chains. If someone prayed and god actually listened then the prayer would never have occured because god would have changed what needed to be changed.

Alright im done. there is no point in arguing with you. Hence my and everybody else’s problem with athiests. Completely sarcastic ignorant and intolerant. You lack arguments and thus say things that make it seem like youre above such discussions when you really have nothing intelligent to say.

Letmepass I have quite valid reasoning as to why I’m an atheist. It’s generally something I only discuss with a few people though, and I didn’t want to come on here giving a whole shpeel noone wanted to hear. If you want me to PM you or post it on here I certainly will.
