<p>anybody knows if we should know by now? it says they would let us know by early April… :S its not clear when but it should be around now I guess… if anybody finds out please post…</p>
<p>Last year I think people heard on the6th, but this year that was a Friday and last year a wednesday, so I bet that makes a difference. I would think by this week people will be notified. Going crazy!</p>
<p>Really? The end of this week? My anxiety just increased!!</p>
<p>I saw the discussions going on for people last year and most of them knew at the end of April… thats why I am confused… even some I think in may… I ask my college advisor and she said she called them and they said they will notify her on the last week of March in case the college has a winner… but that was like 2 weeks ago! I hope more people join so we can get a better sense how is this going…</p>

<p>So I called yesterday and they said that starting at the end of this week (so tomorrow) they would begin notifications from the foundation.</p>

<p>Thanks for the update! So I am assuming the colleges have not even been notified yet? I spoke with my advisor today, and he had not heard anything yet. Fingers crossed for everyone!</p>
<p>yeah, my daughter checked with her advisor this week as well and she also said they haven’t heard anything yet…so very soon! Well wishes to all!!</p>
<p>My advisor said they have been delaying the date but she told me she was expecting to hear from them this week in case of a winner so it coincides with what they told you… good luck to everyone…</p>
<p>Hey everyone! I’m sorry that I had to step away from this thread for awhile, it’s been a very busy few weeks. It’s great to that everyone is very excited, good luck to all of you!</p>
<p>ctbuterbaugh: I ended up attending Emory University, and I am a philosophy student, pre-law. Your school choice will definitely play into their decision, but it’s simply based on your financial need. You don’t need to be going to an Ivy institution to qualify by any means. We have scholars at many many state institutions.</p>
<p>I have been reading about and planning to apply for the Jack Kent Cooke Undergraduate Scholarship since my first semester two years ago and now the moment of truth is at hand. I’m shaking like a leaf! I wonder what is to come . . . Good luck to all the nominees. You are all exceptional and I know that the winners will all be deserving.</p>

<p>hi all…I’ve been snooping past threads and then this one and since its finally about that time, thought I’d get on to at least share what I hear cuz i know how it goes to be anxious for info! As for me, nothing yet!</p>
<p>Has anyone’s school ever had a winner before? How did they let the winner know? How soon? Any details would be amazing!</p>
<p>I’m glad to see that no one has been notified yet… i was starting to lose hope! Early April has come and gone lol, i am so anxious!!!</p>
<p>I would also like to reiterate that though schools may be notified any day now, they may not notify the winners for as long as several weeks. So I wouldn’t worry too much at this stage about whether you have heard or not. </p>
<p>Students who were not selected will be notified (I believe) via email, but that too is several weeks later so as not to ruin what is intended to be a surprise for the students who are selected. </p>
<p>Try to distract yourselves, you might have some time to wait! Again, good luck though!</p>
<p>My school have had winners the last two years… they have just told them by email I think… but I am not completely sure… The advisor did tell me she knew before the foundation notified the winner and therefore she told her before he would receive any email from them. She told me last year was at the end of april but this year should be before since the application deadline was before. She said last year’s deadline was on January I think.
I think we all should be positive since its weekend right now and if they knew at the end of last week they could be waiting for this upcoming week for the best time to tell the winners.</p>
