@ml94ml yes! From the foundation, “We will be sharing the Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship announcement tomorrow around 9:00 a.m. EST.“

Does anyone know if we will be getting an email today for a zoom meeting just like the high school scholars? I haven’t received an email yet and I was hoping they’d give a heads up before calling in case I’m busy. I don’t want to miss their call. I am wondering if we will get an email today or tomorrow confirming that we are a winner since I’m sure there will be a lot of information that they have to give us.
My college’s President and Honor’s Director just barged into my class to tell me I am a JKC transfer scholar!

So for the past three days I only had 6 hours of sleep… Even though I promised myself to get ready for a rejection letter I still had high hopes (I already cried a bit and got disappointed about not getting it, but at the same time felt that I would get it. How did I even manage to do both?)
The dot I left in the comment section above was not a dot initially. I poured all my emotions and feelings at 5am, because I felt really sad and broken about not getting it. I mean there is no official press release yet, but everyone seemed to know if they got it or not from their college advisers/liasons. I contacted mine on Tuesday and did not hear back from her. I told her it was okay if I did not get it, I just wanted to know, I couldn’t wait anymore. I have been updating my email, Facebook groupchat, and this forum every 5 minutes since Tuesday. For the past months, I never knew about this forum and seemed to be fine. I guess the less informed you are, the better haha. But when I joined it and realized that I got all the info requests, including the last one that was for the last phase but haven’t heard from any of my school officials yet, I thought I really didn’t make it.
This morning around 7am I did not even realize how I fell asleep. I woke up at 10, checked my email with 0 hope. Then I saw my college liaison contacted me…
And she said I WAS SELECTED TO BE A JCK RECIPIENT!!!
I mean I still want to wait for press release before I tell people about this news (wanna be 100% sure haha), but tonight I am definitely getting 10 hours of sleep haha.
For those of you who are in the same boat as I, good luck! Fingers crossed for all of you and hope to see all of your names on the list tomorrow!!!

I know everyone is nervous about the results that will be announced tomorrow morning. In these Covid-19 times the normal chains of communication have been broken. I am sure if this were any standard year many of you would have heard by now. Tomorrow morning, I will greatly enjoy congratulating all the winners and interacting with them in the JCKF Cohort.
Yet, at the same time if you are a semi-finalist after tomorrow your accomplishments are still unbelievably remarkable. Being one of the top 300 transfer students in the country is a definitive scholastic accomplishment. If for some reason you did not update universities with this status, please do. Renegotiate financial aid offers, leverage your status, and please join the Facebook group and connect professionally with us through LinkedIn for Semi-Finalists and Finalists alike. We are all in this together.
