Jeffrey Epstein

Where’s that “opposite of astonished” emoji?

Isn’t there some sort of nuclear option where the files can be read aloud on the floor of Congress? (Trying not to tread into political territory here but it’s hard)

Because they’re too busy pursuing Bill & Hillary Clinton’s testimony to subpoena someone who has actual incriminating evidence of the big picture.

They were never going to be charged. They are so insulated by their money, enablers, and lack of public outrage (as measured by electability) that they will not face consequences in this world.

Did CBS report this? Just curious.

The number of people in powerful positions who continued to interact with Epstein after his 2008 conviction is astounding.

What kind of judgment do these people have?

No idea. I no longer watch CBS News.

The kind that gets you placed in the highest echelon of our nation, both public and private.

The Howard Lutnick story/lie, while his wife was there so he is likely well behaved, is just beyond astounding.

I am disgusted by Peter Attia.

What blows my mind is all these people who exchanged flirty, cheeky, ass-kissing emails with a known, convicted pedophile sex offender. People like the Crown Princess of Norway and Peter Attia who are not powerful politicians or leaders of industry. They were clearly enchanted and star struck by Epstein. As far as character goes, I don’t need to know anything more about any of these folks.

Will Attia be shunned after this reveal? I certainly hope no woman ever trusts him with her health ever again.

THey think that they should have whatever they want, however they want it, to fill the empty spot where their moral compass should be. Power would fill it, prestige would fill it, obsequious servile “friends” would fill it. Gold everything and expensive clothes, money will fill it, they believe, they search in vain.

Cowed family, scared colleagues, cruelty will fill it. And when none of it works, and you still deeply feel that you are unimportant, unloved, and mortal; a speck in the universe just like every other person, you turn to depravity to give you the buzz of being alive and noticed. These are deeply broken people, enabled by a society that reinforces the wrong kinds of power.

Epstein aside, anyone peddling mTOR inhibitors as longevity medicine should not be trusted!

Whose son from an earlier relationship was arrested yesterday on charges unrelated to his rape trial which starts tomorrow.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor must be thinking, “Thank God there’s another royal family that’s more messed up than mine.”

I’ve mentioned before on this thread that I am certain that there are at least two serial sex offenders (one definitely including pedophilia, the other maybe depending on technical legal definitions but in effect also yes) whose “files” I am definitely mentioned in, with not-infrequent personal and professional correspondence.

Both of them, I had no more contact from around the time their acts became public knowledge. (Phrased that way because clearly other people knew before I did, so it isn’t a single point in time for everyone. But from the point I found out, I haven’t been in contact with either of them.) However, I also found out later that one of them had actually been convicted of a sex offense against a minor several years earlier—but that individual had served their time before I met them, and it’s not the sort of thing that usually comes up in ordinary conversation, and so I hadn’t known about that.

Which means that I do have some sympathy for people who claim they didn’t know about Epstein’s criminal activities. But the many people who maintained contact with him before, through, and after 2008 (his first prosecution), as many of these people did, lose even that bit of plausible deniability.

So he was just a young naive whippersnapper with stars in his eyes back then, but now he’s all grown up?

Sorry, but he was a 40 year old grown ass doctor man when he met Epstein, a convicted perophile. And the part about him trying to force Epstein to fund victims’ care is even weirder.

It was time to toss his book when it came out.
