CBS had zero credibility before, so they’re in negative territory now.
But what a surprise, it seems like low-level players like Attia and the Norwegian princess are getting more attention than Brad Karp, Steve Tisch, or Leon Black. I wonder why.
A NYT story on Attia included this tidbit I hadn’t seen (the back and forth about the fresh shipment):
Some of the messages that have drawn the most attention are vague. Among the 1,700-plus documents is an email exchange dated June 24, 2015. Dr. Attia initiated it with an email to Mr. Epstein under the subject line “got a fresh shipment”; it is not clear what he was referring to. Mr. Epstein replied, “me too,” with a photo that is redacted in the released document. Dr. Attia responded, “Please tell you found that picture on line…■■■■■■■,” to which Mr. Epstein said, “fraid not.”
“sharing details of an imminent bailout package for the euro the day before it was announced”
isn’t there a name for this?
Emails forwarded to Epstein from the top of the UK government showed Mandelson, who was business secretary from 2008 to 2010, claiming he was “trying hard” to change policy on bankers’ bonuses; sharing details of an imminent bailout package for the euro the day before it was announced; and suggesting that the JP Morgan boss “mildly threaten” the chancellor.
