Ordered the new HP book. Thanks @kiddie!
I told Mr R to see if there was anything on there he wanted. He spent about 20 minutes searching and finally bought beef jerky.
I’m so glad we splurged
Decided to try the instapot since it seemed intreiguing Also ordered a Kindle Paperwhite for DD. I had a credit from the book settlement that Amazon applied to the purchase and it made the Kindle free!
Another thank you for the book promo code.
Prime Day did not generate much interest in our house. Son bought the Fast & Furious 1-7 blu ray collection. Spouse looked at the Garmin 225 running watch but decided not to buy.
I wrote back and forth several times about my earlier ordering problems. I think the problem was that it was one of those items where you click on “available from these sellers” and one of the sellers is Amazon itself. They must have had a small inventory that sold out quickly (garden carts are hardly a hot seller!). There was no time-out or 100% claimed or lightning deal and I wish I had gotten them to acknowledge that, just for my own satisfaction. No big deal otherwise.
The only other frustration I had was the cumbersome browsing. You could click on women’s clothing and not zoom in further on outerwear or dresses or whatever. Took forever to look around - which is what they wanted, I guess.
The Kate Spade bag I was eyeing that was 30% off in addition to already good discount… Went up in price because Amazon sold out of it, and it was only available form others, but 30% off still applied. I decided I did not like it as much at that higher price.
I abstained. Almost got dog food, but though it’s a better deal, it wasn’t a limited to today.
I decided to order an instapot after reading this thread, darn you. Also checked out a pair of sandals I’ve been eying and they had the 30% off at che k out deal so i got them. Not looking at anything else. Too the tempting.
After spending days cleaning my folks’ place with all the “stuff” they have, not even mildly tempted. We are more into decluttering than adding to our things.
BB _ the link in post 71 took me to some gobbledygook.
So it all works out in the wash, I ordered that darn pot y’all talked about. I’m going to keep that and give my d my rice steamer.
I also got the kitten game. I missed the go pro.
And I used my amazon Kindle settlement to pay for it.
We had a TV on our shopping list - S just graduated from college, and is starting law school next month. Dorms are automatically billed for cable/wifi and he’s been using his roommates’ TVs the past 4 years. Our family “only” owns one TV so we didn’t have an extra to send with him. I made him research what size/features/price range ahead of time; one came up as a lightning deal (I made him monitor Amazon yesterday) and we saved $100!
I think there were some good deals to be had. Was kind of more fun shopping in July for deals than in November (Black Friday) when you have the holiday pressure.
Jym, the link works fine on my computer. It also works on my iPhone. Sorry you are having trouble with it. Let me see if I can do the same in Google Patents or Patentlens. The link is a list of patents issued to the company making the spice shelf, and if you click on each of the patents, you should see the inventor’s home city and state.
I received my promotional credit for the $50 gift card. It needs to be used by August 27, 2016.
I saved $100 because I didn’t buy the Instapot or the Baggalini purse.
the top selling US amazon prime day non-amazon product was

Instant Pot 7-in-1 Multi-Functional Pressure Cooker
I was so tempted to get the Instant Pot but I really restrained myself because I have limited counter space in my kitchen.
