June 2012 SAT II Biology

guys i almost forgot what is the function of the spleen? I put the answer with damaged cells because the spleen is part of the lymphatic system and i eliminated it down to 2 choices(forgot what it was)

pdateh, I think you’re correct.

Also, does anyone remember all the answer choices for the cheetah question?

@penguinsfly the answer was bottleneck effect

I have the blue collegeboard book with the 20 subject tests in it
According to the grading scale inside, if your raw score is 75+, you will score 780-800
If your raw score is 62, you’d get a 700.

Thanks, I know. But do you remember any of the other choices?

what were the answers to the heart diagram? i only remember putting the aorta on the one that said blood to body cells

What’s the spleen question? I don’t think I saw that one.

@pdateh35 What the spleen does is filter the blood and take defective red blood cells out. Thats why it hurts when you run (and also your liver because of glucose and bla bla blaa)

Ouch I skipped 15 questions. I had no idea about them. Was that a better decision than wildly guessing?

the test should have a huge curve right?? apparently it was really hard…

^u should try to eliminate answers

what would be a score if i left 4 omitted and lets say 2 wrong

You always have to eliminate at least two answers. Then maybe guess.
But you can always retake so its good :)

@pdateh35 that would be a raw score of about 74 right? my CB subject test book says that would be a 780

@thedoodler but won’t this test have a better curve because it is supposedly harder than all the other ones people took?

yeah, probably.
what score are you aiming for?

i WAS hoping for a 750 before the test but now im hoping for 800 lolol

Barron’s messes with the mind

According to wikipedia, a coral reef is a biome

Agreed. Except for the decomposing tree question, the actual test was so much easier than the Barron’s test.

Is 2 wrong and 1 omitted a candidate to get an 800 or 790?

The tree question was random, it can be seen from many angles
One guy said: well, it is exponential because in the end you would have a lot of ants and after it finishes decomposing, the curve would go down
Don’t think he is right though, I like the bell curve more
