<p>Blame it on the weather? Of course, the weather is terrible over here. Normally in summer we have around two weeks of sun which sucks. I can’t wait to get out of London as well, I was even planning my plane ticket to LAX yesterday. Obvious signs of over excitement? Is Chapman your first choice?</p>

<p>I’ve been reading the UCLA Chancellor’s facebook page. So many people have been blowing it up due to that Alexandra Wallace chick’s YouTube video -___- The poor guy lol.
They released more info on her, and according to her dad’s facebook she wanted to make a (racist) blog about Asians. Sigh.</p>

<p>She pretty much dug her own grave. I am not attacking her because she was ranting about Asians because in all honesty we all rant. But she had no right to put it on Youtube or even film it.</p>
<p>I have a question - A friend of mine is planning to apply to Chapman as well but his secondary school recenty closed down because of several stabbings that happened in and around the area. Yes, this is London. </p>
<p>He is still in contact with his favourite teachers and his guidance counselor. But he is worried that Chapman will need offical school phone number. In the UK Uni’s tend to phone schools and have a conversation (some anyway), is this the same for international student? Also, will he need to write or get a teacher to write a formal email explaining what has happened?</p>
<p>I’m guessing his guidance counselor will be the one sending off his transcripts? If so, then she should write a note or email your friend’s regional admissions officer explaining his circumstances.</p>
<p>Most colleges don’t phone schools here, unless a students application raises red flags and a counselor needs to be contacted (i.e. a teacher recommendation giving away that a student has falsified their app, etc).</p>
<p>Oh right, I think its ashame that his school peers let him down like that. I’ll give him the information and hopefully Chapman will understand.</p>
