Junioritis, Class of 2012

Chapman is amazing!!

Have you thought about applying to USC, LMU, or Pomona?

At the moment Chapman’s Creative Producing major fits me perfectly. I looked at UCLA and USU and they don’t seem to have a Producing course (not Film Production), so Chapman is pretty much my only option.

Also, I think I have a better chance at getting a scholarship from Chapman.

Hello again, all you crazy, nocturnal creatures. XD

Wow…that girl is very…ignorant. .__. Not wise, girl.

@Warehouse: You just need to retake the driving test when you get here. Its issued by the state, not the federal government, so you would have a CA drivers license. No, chapman is not my first choice. It’s my second. (: USC is my first choice. It’s true they don’t have a specific undergraduate producing program, but the production program ecompasses everything needed to create a film - producing, directing, cinematography, sound, even writing. They DO have a masters program in producing, but some of the material is sure to be repeated from the UG program (they usually take a bunch of people into the graduate program without previous study in film.) Chapman is still is great, though, which is why its no.2 on my list.

@CPU: Good luck! And watch that Yale video whenever you need a break. I swear the guy’s face is just hilarious.

@marine: traaaiitttooor. kidding. UCLA is pretty cool. just uber competitive. T_T

Can’t get out of bed…ugh :(

@ghuskies: LOL. I’m still IN bed. :stuck_out_tongue: It’s the eternal struggle.

It really is! Have a good Friday everyone!

Not looking forward to taking another driving test. Oh god, I will be driving an American car - equally annoying. Either way I’ll push through.

The Creative Producing major at Chapman looks exciting, I really hope I get in. Think I’ve said that around ten times. How do you guys control yourselves while waiting for the application season to open up?

I already write my essays and my school has prepared my transcripts and everything already. I just can’t relax until everything has been sent off.

dear god, warehouse. how do you have all your apps done? >< the other day, I complied all the DIRECTIONS for all the supplementary materials (minus the common app stuff which is, obviously, not available) for all the schools i’m applying to, and i have a total of 13 pages of stuff to do. OO

Also, i honestly can’t wait either. i’m just trying to keep busy to keep from jumping off a cliff. (not actually planning on jumping off a real cliff, no need for concern… .-.)

Anyways. that’s what this thread is for…lol.

Don’t forget you have to drive on the right side of the road, too. XD
Plus, I wouldn’t be concerned about the driving test unless you can’t drive. Or park. In which case, I don’t think you should be trying to get a license. Just saying.

It was easy to finish all the essays and stuff, including common application. I printed out the papers and filled in my parts, then wrote the required essays on word. Also don’t forget I am only applying to one University in America. The British application is really simply, so no trouble there.

But my eyes are set on Chapman. Hopefully everything I have been doing will help me get in.

I can pretty much drive, but American roads are bigger and they have everything in the car on different sides. But I guess I will need to drive if I am planning to study in LA. I really want to soak up the American Uni experience - UK doesn’t offer anything appealing.

@warehouse:
sooo excited to live near LA. Or, I guess, Boston or NYC if it comes to that. /:
also, what kind of things are you interested in producing? o__O

I’m back :)

Marine- what’s LMU?

Huskies- I’m so sorry I ignored one of your posts. In stats we just finished sample mean/population. Chapter… 9 in my book. What’s that you guys just did???

Warehouse- I’m sorry if you take this the wrong way, and if you answered this in your first post here, but are you a girl or boy?

PS. I beasted that stats tests. We had a fire drill so the teacher said if you get past #22 you’ll get extra points for those. I finished

But ware house how do you have your apps done? The only school I’m applying to that has 2011-2012 is Cornell the rest open in July ish.

PS again- for my dual enrollment classes (APUSH and AP Calc) for semester grades I got an A- and B+ I don’t feel like averaging that though haha

Well, I have always wanted to be a Film Producer and I plan to take that up in Chapman. I have experience in Film Production but I would love the full on experience. I am currently an Events Producer/Manager for small company, we basically organiser raves for teenagers (aged 16+). If you go to London and ask where to find a rave, our name will definitely be mentioned. So I can pretty much go two ways after studying at Chapman, Film Production or Events Production.

Edit: I am a boy.

I downloaded the Dodge College application and filled it out. Then I downloaded The Common Application forms and filled those out. All I have to do now is wait, copy everything from the Common App forms into the online application and submit the Dodge School supplement.

hello ladies and warehouse ! its 70 degrees outtt !!! yaaay !
rundown of today :
US history quiz - Amazing
Religion test - Also amazing
Everything else: AHMAZING ! i got the permission slip to do part-time schooling at the community college so im excited for that. and i found out that i have 1.5 more credits than all the other juniors ! yay !

how was everyones day ??

oh btw huskies (or was it cpu?) the glitter dance is my little dance that i do when im beyond excited! i go to a little corner in the room and run in place with my head down, squealing and waving my arms like a demented bird. and at the end i jump up really high and POOF out my hands (like im poofing out glitter). only without the glitter … its the thought that counts really :)

@CPU: LMU = Loyola Marymount. -does not remember mentioned that school- ahaha.

I’ve gotten absolutely nothing done today. As usual. Ahh spring break.

heeey, congrats guys. X)

@CPU: LMU = Loyola Marymount University. It’s in California.

@ada: that’s hilarious. :3

@warehouse: hrmm…that’s cool. (: i really think its unfair that i have like x500 times more stuff to do for my apps. at least i won’t go crazy with nothing to do but wait. .-.

EDIT: oh, my bad. Marine posted before me.
also, i was the one who was mentioning it when talking about CA schools. o__O

LOL LMU, major safety.

Anyways, I ordered my AP Psych book yesterday.

You guys also have exams right? Chapman is only really interested in my GCSE results, which I completed last year summer. 2 A*, 5 A’s, 3 B’s - Passed all of my GCSE subjects. And now I am currently studying a BTEC (Basically I am 1st year Junior) which involves no exams or anything academic like maths etc.

So I guess that’s why I can find time to complete my applications.

Damn, warehouse.
That’s not fair. lol. I still have a BUNCH of exams. Like…15 more. >_> How old are you? (or are you not going to disclose that information on the internet? oO)

woah. There are more new people on this thread! welcome!! ^__^

lolz i’m late getting into the conversation as usual.

Warehouse are you only applying to a few places?

I am 16, 17 in a week. Trust me when I was having exam season I was dying, the hall were I did my exam was extremely hot and I was always nervous. But I got through it and came out with excellent GCSE’s. Also, American subjects are probably more difficult. The subject I struggled on was Maths, mainly because I am terrible at it.

If I do get into Chapman, I hope they don’t make me take a maths subject.

Edit : I am only applying to Chapman University. I am an international Student from the UK and Chapman is the only good film school that offers what I want to do.
