Lehigh Waitlist 2024

Son got off the waitlist for Business today. He is very excited!!

I guess students are already withdrawing and responding “no” to offers? I thought everyone will wait until 5/1…very thoughtful to others who are waiting.

Did people get an email when their portal updated or did they just happen to check?

Email

Do we think that this is going to be a weekly or daily thing

I was taken off the waitlist this past week. Does Lehigh have the tendency to go to their waitlist this early?

To those who just got off the waitlist, had you applied for financial aid? Just wondering since Lehigh is need-aware right now

Did apply but got zero. Full pay. Was waitlisted and accepted a week later.

I just found a bit of merit aid. I had to go really deep into the portal to find it. I was waitlisted, then accepted. Probably not enough to change my plans, but it was good to see it. Surprised it was so hard to find.

where did you find it?

@bkatguy Congratulations! Even if you’re not going to Lehigh. Is there a deadline for when you have to accept the offer? Just wondering if you have until May 1st to decide or if you have less time to make that decision. Thanks.

Within the acceptance letter, there is a link to “establish your Lehigh account”. Once you do that, you log in to the regular Lehigh student page. From there, don’t go into portal but instead go into the banner tab. From there, click on the Financial Aid Tab. Finally, there is a Financial Aid Status link. From there, you need to select the The financial aid year (2020\2021). Then hit submit. From there, you can see the aid. Not sure why it is so hard to find. Still have until 5/1 as far as I know to make the decision.

was you merit included in the financial aid section?

When you get there, you still need to click on the “financial aid status” link. Then, select the year 2020/2021 and hit submit. Then it is there. Good luck!

i have that…just for aid…no merit in that section

my grant is in that section

Maybe my terms are off. Grant is not merit based?

Merit based grants are monetary awards given in recognition of exceptional academic achievement.

Where need based grants are awarded on the basis of income disparity, merit based grants require students to demonstrate high levels of academic achievement, commitment to service and leadership qualities.

also, if it’s merit it should state what gpa etc you need to maintain to keep it for the following year.

Hey guys,

As seen on the Lehigh FAQ page for waitlisted students, Lehigh university does not offer merit aid for students who are accepted off the waitlist.

Just curious to those who got accepted off waitlist - since Lehigh is “need-aware” for waitlisted students, did anyone get decent financial aid grant packages, or are you mostly full-pay?
