List of schools going to their waitlist

Cornell is making its final decisions?
Do you mean the decision of going or not going to the waitlist or the decision of who to take off the wailist?

We know MIT will take students off of the waitlist, but when? I feel like we are in a purgatory - the wait is killing me! :(

Does anyone know about SMU or Smith College?

The waiting is horrendous. My S is on Cornell’s WL and says on his way home everyday, about 45 minutes out, he gets that anxious butterfly thing in his stomach waiting to get home to check email, voicemail, and snail mail. At this point, he just wants to KNOW!

That’s exactly what happens to me :(

cnp55…multiply that x 5 for my D! She’s on Cornell’s list too. In looking at the postings, I’m doubtful she’ll receive a call from Cornell, Dartmouth, or Penn. I have a feeling they’re not going to the list this year. She’s not holding her breath either. We are, though, trying to remain somewhat optimistic about Princeton and Vanderbilt. (Not sure really how she was WL at the latter…admissions – go figure!) Wouldn’t it be nice with graduation a couple of weeks away to know the final outcome?

Yes indeed. Neither of my kids had to go through this nightmare but I think it must be quite hard to have spent much time on this board without feeling enormously sympathetic to those going through this (and their parents). This (at least) the viewpoint of someone that can’t stand waiting for much of anything. ;)

D was accepted shortly after she notified them she intended to stay on list. Not sure if this is typical for Wake Forest.

I have twins. One was accepted off the wait list at Bard, then elected to attend Earlham. The other has been taken off the wait list at Smith, and she is deciding between Smith and Mt. Holyoke.

Does anybody hear someone get off waitlist from BC ??? BC seems very very quiet … I hope they’ll use some…like this week…!

Has anyone heard anything definitive about Amherst? I saw that an earlier poster had mentioned someone had called and they weren’t going to the waitlist…hoping that’s not true.

Conn coll not goin for their wait lists…

What about UIUC?

NCDanceMom - can you clarify the date your D heard from wake Forest? There is another thread titled schools that are not going to their WL - and Wake Forest is on there. Parents have posted that Wake Forest has enough deposits and is not going to the WL right now. You are the first person I have heard mention getting of the Wake Forest WL - so just want to clarify.

Where is the thread of schools not going to their waitlists?

I just bumped it for you- it was buried on page 3.

@ Sayhello :)

“and cornell is making its final decisions.”
What do you mean by that?

My daughter is going to Mount Holyoke. Its a great school and you can leverage the 5 college consortium with Amherst, Smith, Hampshire College and UMass for classes. I vote Mount Holyoke!

Add Brown!
