DH and I generally alternate what we watch. One show more or less for him and one more or less for me.
My shows were Ask the Midwife, Downton Abby, The Crown. (But they don’t have to be British!) I’m thinking about possibly suggesting The Americans.
His shows are the endless Marvel shows (I loved Jessica Jones, but mostly just put up with the rest.). Currently watching Bosch a noirish show about an LAPD detective. It’s very good BTW.
We both loved Humans (the British version). And I wouldn’t mind a good sci fi show. We watched a few episodes of The Expanse, but it got very complicated and just not much fun.
Yeah, “cozy” is not the term for The Americans! (By the way, if you have young kids in the house, this is a watch-after-they-go-to-bed show!) It’s one of my faves, although this last season wasn’t as good.
“The Clinic”, set in Dublin. You can get it on Acorn TV (paid subscription, but I think it’s only $5 a month). Also, “Foyle’s War” is wonderful. Not sure that one is exactly cozy, but it has great characters.
We’ve enjoyed bingeing on “Zelda.” It’s a nice period piece told from the perspective of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s wife and is historically interesting, too.
