@Shehroz2001 yeah i also saw a blog abt it but well i dont think cuz ppl have already received 1 semester fees and it doesnt seems to be increased that much. But maybe they do it afterwards, dont know the authenticity of the blog btw.
It says next semster so maybe they are planning to increase frm 2 semester. Which btw is highly unresouceful for most ppl as lums is already charging quite enough for any uni in pakistan and 41% is alot
Yeah like a 41% increase without even communicating anything seems like a stretch to me, lets hope the blogs weren’t authentic
They made an increment of 13% not of 41%. I just checked it on lums website.
Yess the blog did mention this but they said lums says they did of just 13% but the stats prove it wrong n actually its 41% and they havent informed any student yet. Still not sure of its authenticity but well it did mention the fraud, dont know whats actually going on though.
What I’ve read on facebook from a LUMS student is that the fee has risen from 340,200 per semester to 484,000. This hike is immense and I’m sure many of the students would back out after this (now I might be potentially in this group if the est figure is true)
They should’ve updated their pricing policy at the time when admissions were opened so that students and parents could evaluate their financial position and then consider applying accordingly. What a mess they have created!
They had a base fees for 12-20 credit hours which was 340,200. They have removed that policy and will now charge based on how many credits you have, so the more credit hours you have, the higher will be the fees. They tried to be snarky to students and only show fees of 12 CH and called it an ‘ignore-able’ increase, but if a student takes 20 CH, their fees will be upwards of 480,000. So basically, they increased their fees by 41% instead of the usual 13% by changing the policy.
Is it true that second round offers are starting after 8 may?
The ppl who can still back out are still lucky, what abt those who paid 1 smester fee without knowing abt this increase. Lums had perfect timing tbh to trap them. Feel sorry for those ppl
Student council is trying to resolve the issue. Lets hope they will have some good news.
I get the occasional % increase because of inflation but like 41% is way too much.I hope if they resolve it decreases for the incoming batch as well
Well, this is a mess. The fee is too damn high now; I might as well apply to IBA.
Last year’s semester fees (w/o admission fees and security deposit etc) was 383,723 and for this year it’ll be 435,855. I feel like that’s a really big increase. Not everyone who can’t afford this absurd amount qualify for FA. They should revert back to their policy of the base fees for 12-20CH or else I’m out and applying somewhere else

As the management has mentioned that people who were giving the March SAT would be given “compensation” for the SAT part of their application by taking other credentials into account when being evaluated. But if someone was reappearing in March, would they be given the same leverage/compensation as someone without a previous score or would their previous score be used as it is for evaluation? Any idea?
Those of you who have applied for Financial Aid, have you received your financial arrangement letter?
@Orion02 Nope, I haven’t even received my decision yet.
Second round offers will come after june.
who said this? @Amnasahar2001
There was a lums webinar for students who got offered admissions. Heard that from there
