M10 2025 Freakout Thread!

hi everyone! congrats on all your admissions

five days, what are your predictions?

DS applied to only four schools.

He genuinely liked all four and absolutely loved two. But all are a very good fit. And he only needs one.

So I am predicting one. I have no idea which one, lol.

Was it from L’ville ? Was the email a positive one?

I received the same from another school and it also was positive, so I think it must be a good sign, because they could hardly send personalized emails to everyone who applied.

yes it was positive!

not if I get rejected everywhere :sob:

Are all M10 schools utilizing the USPS to share admission outcomes?

We see a PEA Fedex package on the Delivery Manager. Hoping it is a good sign. Anyone else? Is there a discord server or chat group of current students to join?

are any parents out there feeling anxious? I am feeling like this since one daughter already goes to loomis and If my other daughter does not get in it would be devastating for her. :frowning: she has a 93/100 average not perfect but she has extra curriculars, she is an athlete and also very joyfull and kind personality. yet not all of her interviews where great.but well i will leave everything in gods will! she did her best and i am proud of that. cant wait for the 10th. last year it was a sunday i would have rather they did it on sunday a no class day. just venting here. thankyou for sharing parents and students.

I am happy to commiserate with you. I am also a parent, and I think I am more anxious than my child. It is scary packaging up your 13-year old kid’s accomplishments and personality and then waiting for yes or no decisions from selective schools. It has also been exhausting analyzing communications from schools for signs of where things are headed. We had an email from a coach that said, something like “looking forward to good news on March 10. Talk soon.” We received a handwritten note from an AO about how much she enjoyed one of my kid’s application essays and how it fit with school culture. It’s hard not to read into these types of messages, although I realize I am bringing this on myself. So, you definitely are not the only anxious parent out there, and I hope you get good news on M10.

Congratulations and fingers crossed. Hope it’s a good sign. May I ask if you leave in the east coast?

Feeling anxious too! It is early to receive even package notifications based on history. But probably due to the weekend before M10 some might be posted earlier. Just hanging in there.

Exactly! I was just thinking about how awkward it is for us parents to almost “advertise” our kids’ accomplishments. They’re only teenagers—how much can really be expected of them when they’re still discovering themselves? Almost all kids have some talent in sports, and many excel academically. This whole process of managing their achievements at such a young age just to make them appealing to boarding schools and later to colleges feels so ridiculous! I just wish things were simpler.

Society is filled with incoherence—you push so hard to get into the best schools, the best colleges, and then, in the end, you can barely find a job. It’s a system that doesn’t always make sense.

Unrelated, but do international students receive a package on M10 or in the days following, given the major delays due to overseas shipping?

It’s actually disgusting that these children are getting their childhood stripped away more and more each generation. Maybe Gen Z or Alphas will grow up to parent in a way where their children have a relaxed childhood. I don’t know how it got this way. Seems like it was a slow burn to chaos.
