In order to see if a Fedex package is coming do you have to sign up under your child’s name since that is who the school will address the package to?
Yes, it’s anxiety provoking cheer all of us Im sure! Layered on top of fear of our kids experiencing rejection (or even us as parents feeling rejected on their behalf), there’s also navigating the very adult choice - perhaps the first in their lives - of where to go to school, boarding vs boarding, boarding vs day, etc. And if it’s not managing rejection, it’s managing imposter syndrome or self-doubt. Yeah, it’s a lot!

Do you add your child’s name under “Alternate Names” on the fedex app?

Yes, I added my DS’ name as an Alternate Name for FedEx and it worked. I don’t think you need to set up a whole new account for your child to get notified.

I updated the Fedex Delivery Manager profile to all add family member names.
Probably thats what worked.

Under Fedex Delivery Manager → Profile → Edit Contact Name, you should see as shown below. I added under nick names.
Do you go by any other name?
FedEx Delivery Manager can help match any shipments containing any alternate first names or nicknames that you go by. You can have up to 5 nicknames assigned.
