M10 2025 Freakout Thread!

Adding my voice to those asking folks not to read into a lack of delivery notifications. I know for certain I have several in-flight, non-admissions-related UPS packages that are NOT in my My Choice account right now. The system just doesn’t work like you think it should.

Anyone apply to Pomfret? Got what appears to be a general email with an enroll button?

Pomfret does release early via email (last year was 3/8). If you click enroll does it take you to the enrollment portal?

Almost there! Every year, a few of us who have been here for a probably too long time like to remind everyone of a few things.

  1. Regardless of outcomes, you have done something extraordinary. You have been thoughtful about what you want your next 4 years to be. You have thought about who you are now and who you want to become. Congratulate yourself for that effort, and use it to make your high school experience – wherever it might be --as rich and fulfilling as possible. No matter where you go to school, you will be the greatest determinant of your success and you’ve already taken a big step in charting your course.

  2. Keep an open mind. Whether you got into what you thought was your top choice or not, carefully consider each of the schools that accepted you. Attend revisit days if possible.
Each school thought you would thrive there and be a valued member of the community. Your original ranking may hold - and may be more certain than ever, but it may not.

  3. Don’t diss any school. Your disappointment in “only” getting into xyz may be very painful to the applicant who was rejected by xyz and would love to go there. Monday will be a day of great joy for some but it will likely be very disappointing and sad for others. Please be sensitive to this!

  4. Love the school that loves you back! Pivot to positivity about the schools where you were admitted rather than clinging to those where you weren’t. No doubt, there will be a post about what to do if you are on s WL, but first and foremost, focus on acceptances.

  5. If you get shut out, you can strategize about what to do next. But give yourself a little time to eat some ice cream and regroup. Nothing needs to happen immediately except for you to indulge in some self-care.

Wishing all of you good results on M10. You’re all amazing and have greatness in store!

Just received an email apologizing that they accidentally sent out this first email to accepted students today instead of Monday as anticipated. And that we can consider the second email a welcome email and official acceptance email will follow on Monday. :slightly_smiling_face:

do you think all labeling and shipping will be finished by the weekend

As a reapplying 10th grader, I’m so nervous😭

Maybe. We don’t really know what the schools will do. Individual schools can change their processes, so even knowing the patterns from last year can only be so helpful.

I suspect most schools will send things out today or tomorrow. They do work over the weekend if needed. Also, some may be silencing notifications so you can’t see them regardless. The good news is that M10 is less than 3 days away and you’ll know everything then. Stay strong!

I have seen three so far from L’ville on this forum.

Just received my first admission acceptance! It’s from a safety school, but it’s still an acceptance !

Just found that Concord Academy has posted decision letters on Ravenna. My DS got waiting-listed. Although the letters are marked as “hidden,” you can still access them with these steps:

  1. Go to the Decisions page.
  2. Right-click anywhere and select Inspect (to open the browser’s Developer Tools).
  3. Locate Concord’s <div class="card decision-panel">, expand it, and then further expand the third item: <div class="card-body" ...>.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the tips! I can only see under <div class=“card-body” …> there was “accept”… and “decline”… etc. What does that mean?

Congratulations :tada::confetti_ball:
