Ok. So my plan thus far, is to go enlist in the Marines for 4 years. After that I am going to college.
My first questions are
- Does it matter which college I go to for my undergrad as much as some people make it seem? (I am in California, and SDSU is looking really attractive to me right now.)
- Which Major and Minor should I study?
- What are the main things Med Schools looks at when i am doing my undergrad.
4)What kind of extracurriculars should i do?

I am very serious about my dream. I will not be partying or chasing after girls, or doing drugs. Work now play later.

So then I apply to Med School.
4) Which Med Schools are best?
5) How many should I apply to?
6) Will it give me an edge in the application process if I put that i served in the Marines?

I understand that this will be very expensive.
7) Do most students just take out loans to pay for these long years of education?
8) When I become a General Doctor and start doing my residency, will I need to start paying back the loans?
9) I have a feeling that I will most likely be going to a Med School on the East Coast, where will I be living at that time? Do they offer dorms or can I get an apartment?
10)In the long run, if I do become a pediatrician, will the benefits outweigh the costs? (Mainly, will I make enough money to get me out of my debt?)

These questions may be obvious to some, but I want serious and helpful answers. I want different Opinions and Perspectives.

Thank You for your time.
Regards, James
