Thanks. I can now add Penn State Altoona to the list of shills to research. Did not get into Penn UP that she applied to, but they are offered Altoona and merit. Hofstra has also accepted and offered merit. I’m familiar with that university since I’m originally from NY. Still waiting on more schools, but these are all direct admit nursing which I prefer for her.

Did you apply for FA? Didn’t get any affordability email from Pitt. If I were them, I might wait until after the ED notices go out so I’m not wasting MA on kids who will have to withdraw their application.

Didn’t apply for aid but DC did get a scholarship offer at the end of October!

Daughter got a message to check her portal tonight—she received $5000 per year merit award. She had been admitted to Dietrich (biology) back in October, honors college a few weeks later.

We are in-state, UW GPA: 4.0, W GPA: 4.2, ACT 34 (test scores submitted), 9 APs

Congratulations. Is this in-state or out-of-state, if you don’t mind my asking.

Out of state

Big congrats!!!

Thank you, it definitely moves Pitt to the top of the list for now. Hope you all hear something soon, there seems to be no rhyme or reason to the timing of the awards.
