Did your child accept the MSU admissions offer? Not sure if that makes a difference for the ADS invite? Mine is waiting for one more college before she decides on accepting.
I have not accepted the offer yet. I do live five minutes from campus, so that probably made a difference.

My daughter received one with very similar stats and has not accepted the admissions offer either, so Iâm sure an invitation is on its way for your daughter.

The outstanding stats of so many students here (congrats btw, very well done to you all!) and their scholarship awards cause us concern. Is it possible that limitations outside of my Dâs control (small rural MI high school with only 1 AP and a handful of honors classes offered) might be preventing her chances for the larger scholarships? I hope MSU sees that D makes the most of the opportunities available.
Stats: #1 in class of 55. 4.0 GPA (no weighting used at school). 33 ACT. 1380 SAT. 1 AP and several honors classes. Many years of FFA, stud govt, and 3-season varsity sports. Restaurant hostess weekend job. She accepted MSU honors invitation (Yay!). She received $1,500 MI resident scholarship (Nice). But, we are really hoping for a larger scholarship. Can we still hold out hope there will be larger scholarship offer in the coming weeks or months?

This is unreal: the mail arrived only moments after my post (above). Envelope from MSU marked âExclusive Invitation Inside.â I am SO thrilled! D is at workâI sent a photo of the envelope to her. Very exciting! So very grateful!!

Are there TWO separate postal mail documents to look for?
- Flag wrapped general admission
- ADS invitation (with star on envelope)
Just got the 1st one today, no news re the ADS.
Also, does information about scholarships come also by mail or just to look in the portal?

Yes, there are two separate pieces of mail. So far I have not received any mail with the scholarships I have received. I am assuming they just put the scholarships on the portal.
Yes, 2 pieces of mail - MSU flag and ADS. The merit scholarship is so far in the portal only.
Any idea how many students they invite to participate in ADS? Looking at the invitation, there are all together 130 scholarship awards listed. I assume they invite quite a few students to participate.

ADS is mail only I believe. My daughter talks to people in the HC office somewhat regularly, and she says you should register quickly if youâre interested in going.
Did you receive HC invitation from MSU?
Yaay, received in mail today âexclusive invitationâ.
It offers 2 in person and 1 virtual ADS testing day.
My daughter got in. 4.28 gpa, 1520 SAT, summer research, published article, sustainability internship, petition, varsity sports captain, leadership positions, other extra curriculars and school clubs.

Does everyone who got accepted to Honors College get an ADS invite? My son has not anything but was accepted to Honors College and also received a scholarship.
I know last year there were some people who got into honors but did not get invited into ADS.

They should have been, but sometimes there are issues with USPS, especially right now during COVID. If you donât receive anything in the next week or two, you could probably check with adsp@msu.edu just to make sure it didnât get lost in the mail.

Yes. Jan 12. You have until Jan 24 to accept. Not sure if my son got it, i will have to check with him. See link below.
