Michigan State EA Decision Notification

Hey everyone. This might be in the thread and I missed it but is there a certain date that financial aid results are shared? I feel like I heard beginning of March but now I am not finding it.

I found mine on Feb 4 by going to student.msu.edu. They had sent no emails and I found that my first financial aid letter was created on Dec 16 and my second on Jan 29.

Any idea when will we receive Honors collge scholarship? ( international student)

It seems like scholarship info should be out soon. My daughter took the ADS test and, I thought, results were due yesterday (February 18). Maybe that means she isn’t advancing in the competition? They told us at the ADS parent session that scholarships would start to be loaded mid-February.

I’m just looking for fafsa results.

I wrote down that everyone would know by Feb 25 at the latest. My son took it as well, and we haven’t heard.

I also noted that Professional Assistantships would be out by the 2nd week of February. I’m assuming he didn’t get that offer, but am wondering if anyone has heard.

Do you remember if you used your msu email or just your regular email to log in to that? I’m having trouble logging in.

You’re right- Feb 25. Just looked back at my notes. Hopefully we will find out about scholarships soon. My daughter was all in on MSU until she got accepted to U of M. Hopefully a nice scholarship from MSU will sway her back.

2 days back only i received my Honors college results(international student). Are international students also eligible for ADS?

I don’t know, but the test dates have all passed. I do see you need to apply by November 1 to qualify for the competition.

was there any separate application for ADS?

No. I think it just came in the regular mail.

No, there wasn’t.

There is not an application for ADS. It was an invitation to go to campus and take a test for a scholarship. The testing dates have passed.

International students were eligible, but only if they applied and were accepted into the honors college before the testing dates. They mentioned that there was an international student at D22’s session and there was an online option. But don’t fret that you missed it - only about 10% of participants get any merit from ADS, so odds aren’t that great - the actual competition is more of a pep rally for MSU Honors College.

However, ADS awards are not the only scholarships they award. I’m not sure what the other ones are, but they stressed that awards would be ongoing through April. They may have been referring to NMF who name MSU as their first choice … or maybe there’s something else. IDK.

My son received an email that he is an ADS Finalist yesterday morning.

I have a doubt regarding how AP credits work in MSU. So, suppose I have all the credit requirements to skip all my courses of my freshman year, does that mean that as soon as I enter I am a sophomore or is there something else that happens?? Also, since I am skipping those courses, are they deducted from my tuition fee??
