It’s February 14th!
Happy pi minus one day!
Let the countdown begin!
On my initial MIT app, I never put in my social security number and the system allowed me to submit my app. Will I be okay?
If you are not applying for any kind of aid or scholarships yes.
I think you can still add your social security number via the portal. There is a link under the " Application Management" section.
Ok, I was just wondering if it would invalidate my application and make them not review it.
It will not invalidate. Colleges will ask you if they miss something.
I would call admissions and ask them
Do colleges still send “Likely Letters” ?
I don’t know about MIT, but my nephew received a Likely Letter from Cornell last year, and was accepted on Ivy day.
Thanks for the reply.
By when did your nephew receive the Likely Letter (Feb/early March) ?
Don’t know why I logged it down, but he received the Cornell Likely Letter on 3/15/23, a day after his MIT rejection.
no MIT interview, are they over?
Did you email them? My son didn’t get one either while his classmates did. He double checked his spam folder and went through all his emails and still nothing. He emailed admissions to confirm and he got called for an interview a couple of days later. He had his interview on Friday (Feb. 16).
Interview reports were due February 6, so they are effectively over. Some interviewers will pick up some of the unassigned applicants and those interviews can occur after the deadline. Just seems to be a bit more than after the deadline to get an interview.
As always, if you have a question or concern, call the admission’s office, even now. They are always there to help.
Surprised to see the MIT checklist already taken down by MIT today.
They did email that decision will be out on 3/14 at 6:28 EST
And the wait begins, any astrology to pull us through?
When you click the withdraw button, how many true and false do you have ? true 5, false 3 … anyone?
hi, sounds interesting, what did you mean by this, I got three “5”, and two “3”.
I think you have to look for trues and falses
