What do you guys want to study if luckily selected into the MOSTEC program? For me, I am interested in their neuroscience and connectomics online course.
do you guys think i’m screwed for mostec if i applied to both programs, but my “why mostec/mites” essay focused mostly on mites?

@bluehuman no, even if you applied for just mites you would have still been reconsidered for mostic
I’m also curious, what passion do you guys have in stem that makes you feel like you’re fit for this program? I spend a ton of my free time just programming or doing math just for the love of it.

i LOVE math (in fact, i’m in an online class rn lol). i like the problem solving aspect of stem in general, but math is my big passion
I do alot of robotics. Like competing, teaching, and mentoring teams. Love seeing the joy in the kids i teach/mentor. I also really enjoy creating inventions with my art background on my freetime.
I am also into robotics. I am on a VEX competitive team. I really want to make roller coasters or animatronics for a career. So like I’m working on making a model theme park.

I’m also a part of VEX! I’m from the Southern California region. It was pretty sad how Worlds was cancelled this year 
Yeah definelty, it was really unfortunate for Worlds to be cancelled. Even regionals got cancelled for me here in Southern New England Region. But Dallas, Texas seems like a really cool venue for next year
I do my own research projects. I do a robotics competition that is not VEX. We made a 3d printed robot and its pretty cool. I honestly haven’t figured out a specific passion yet, and that is why I wanted to do this program.

No, I assume that they’re saying that because it’s very unlikely that they will release results today since it’s this late
This is a big fat rip I was so excited for the results to be released today that I foolishly believed they would keep their word. I’m so disappointed.
Yeah it’s weird that they didn’t even send us an update, I’m thinking that they must be close enough that they figured it wouldn’t be worth sending an update and they’ll have the results out in the next couple days.
we expected results on the 15th, and they sent an update on the 16th. so maybe, the update comes out tomorrow? or maybe i’m just speculating too much and need to go to bed lol
