Yesterday was the interview day for distinction scholarships in Columbus. Any one attended the interview and what was the interview all about? My daughter is attending it virtually this coming week and hence would like to know any pointers on the interview process from the students who attended the distinction interviews in person. Is OSU sending more Morrill scholars email this Friday and through end of March? Lot of my DD friends got it and she is NMF and still haven’t heard anything. She got full ride else where but OSU is still our top choice. I understand it is also based on essay but she has all the check marks and it is frustrating not to hear anything till now.
Just got National Buckeye, does that mean im out of the running for Morrill?

I’m just a parent, so your guess is as good as mine. 
In past cycles, it seems like Morrill rolled out through March. Another poster provided an email response that they received from the university that indicated Morrill would roll out throughout March.
I dont think there are any. Unlike admissions, we are kind of in the dark for Morrill until you get it or you don’t
From what I understand, it is completely diversity and achievement based. The MSP has pillars/words that they stress quite a bit (Leadership, diversity, social justice, service, etc). I assume that in the essay they want the applicant to talk about something they’ve taken part in that represents some of these topics.
As for Morrill decisions, I read somewhere that they will roll out until the end of march at the end of every week. Those selected to interview for the Distinction (Full Cost), I believe have already been notified since the interviews were this past week/weekend.
Still a few more waves of acceptances coming so keep your hopes up!!

When the Morrill Distinction interview happened two weeks back, I understand that OSU had mentioned that the distinction results would come in two weeks. I assumed it would be today since today would be two weeks from the date of the interview…Any one heard back on the outcome of the Morrill Distinction Interview this week? Thank you.
My student heard back early in the week that she was awarded the distinction.
