Music Camps

Hey all - my daughter is in the 6th grade and has been playing the oboe for 2.5 years now. She just received acceptances to attend the Manhattan School of Music and Kinhaven Junior Session in VT for 2025 summer camp. I think both of these programs/camps sound stellar, although I haven’t come across anyone personally who has attended and can provide me with any feedback. We actually have to confirm acceptance very soon (starting end of this week!) so hoping folks can weigh in on whether these camps are worth it! Thanks all!

I attended Kinhaven Junior Session in 2021, then Senior Session in 2022, 2023, 2024, and will be coming back this summer too, in 2025. It’s a wonderful community and a beautiful place for children to grow with music. It’s rigorous but still campy, and my year at junior session really changed my life! I wholeheartedly recommend Kinhaven!

Thank you for sharing your experience!! I had wanted our dd to apply for this summer but it didn’t work out. I am definitely going to encourage her to next summer. Reading that you enjoyed it that much makes me want her to attend!

How Do I Change My Username?

When you first create an account on College Confidential, you have to create a username. By default, if you use your Google or Facebook account, your username will include your first and last name.
