My grandson is on waitlist. He will probably withdraw soon.

I started this thread because I have nothing else better to do! Never imagined there is this much interest in sharing and supporting while chasing the admission process that is so stressful for most people.

My son is on the waitlist. It’s his top choice if he comes off, so we are waiting until the end of the month to commit.

It’s a great program, but pricey. It was on my daughter’s shortlist of offers, for sure.

I can’t speak specifically to the MT program, but I have a freshman daughter there currently in VP who absolutely loves IU. I’d be happy to answer any questions related to the campus or Bloomington. Her roommate for next year is an MT student. Feel free to message if you want.

We canceled our daughter’s application, even though she was wait listed.

Is your daughter going to USC?

It’s 1 of 5 schools she’s still considering (although 2 of the 5, FSU & Oklahoma, are wait lists situations). I think getting into the BA instead of the BFA program at USC has hurt the chances of her selecting staying home. NYU is a real contender, but not knowing if she’ll be in NSB at Tisch has her nervous. Plus, NYU Tisch is a big class and a very competitive environment. Not to mention living in NYC
not easy or cheap!

The leader of the group is certainly Elon. The more we learn about the school and the BFA MT program, the more we like it. Elon’s price is roughly 1/2 of NYU and USC, too. She got scholarships from Elon, but got $0 from both USC and NYU.

So to answer your question, USC is doubtful :sob: However, Elon will probably be just right for her (and our bank account)!

Thank you for the detailed reply. I am sure she will do well which ever BFA program she gets in.

Can I ask how your friends like the program at BoCo? Daughter was accepted, visiting soon.

I am so sorry. My husband and I are both NIH-funded researchers and are facing lots of uncertainty about whether we will still be employed once the impacts of canceled grants hits our institution. My heart goes out to you.

anybody else still waiting on temple? i auditioned on campus on march 2nd and i’ve contacted admissions twice now, with no response either time.

It’s official! Happy to report my son will be joining ISMom’s daughter at Texas State for MT! Good luck to all, as you/your kids make their final decisions

is anyone considering CU boulder for either program? My top choice is the BM MT and I would love to get to know more about it beofre visiting next week.

Hi! My daughter’s top choice of the schools where she’s been accepted is currently LIU. We’ve visited and had a private tour from David and he let her sit in on a freshman acting session they had during the first day of their spring break. We also did admitted students day yesterday and did a tour with Valerie and saw the understudy performance of Vincent. Is there anything you had already typed up for og1002 that you can share with me as well with your thoughts?
