It’s so important to submit the time limit given. Either chop it off at that limit or redo it. You can’t submit it over the limit if you want him to be considered. My D has been told by admissions, showing you can follow directions on the app is part of the screening process

Got the retape and new shorter monologue was a much better fit. Missed Dec 1 by 6 minutes for BU when Acceptd kicked me out at 1157 as I was hitting payment. Went back to submit when I finally got in about 12:03 and now date says January 4. Guess we missed priority date… But submitted UM, CM, Ithaca on time. Waiting starts and we get additional ones in that were not due Dec 1 . Fingers crossed for everyone.

I think you did make the deadline! I was so confused by BU. I had to email and call them multiple times because of discrepancies on their website (the only school we had issues with). It turns out the videos must be uploaded by 12/1, but the rest of the Accept application isn’t due until 1/4. I confirmed with them by phone yesterday that they can access the uploaded videos even if you haven’t submitted the full application yet. You’re good!

This is great info. I am not sure I had all the right videos in there until late yesterday evening and switched another he changed right before I tried to submit, but if requirement is that there is a video there - that is great news!!!

Yay! So glad you got everything in! Just goes to show… we had everything done by the end of October and we are still waiting on prescreen passes… we’ll all finish together.

Hi All!
After auditioning for Marymount Manhattan’s BFA Musical Theater program on November 18th, I heard back on December 4th that I’ve been accepted!!! 
I wanted to put this here because I heard about this after I got 4 rejections in a row JUST from prescreens. (Emerson, Western Connecticut, BoCo, Rider).
And then I also found out I passed my Pace prescreen!
My soul has always felt a calling to New York since I was young, and I believe that this is the universe affirming that! I was so worried that no where would accept me after all of the No’s just from my prescreens alone. When I got the Marymount acceptance, it was so relieving. Please do not give up hope in this crazy process.
THE NO’S COME BEFORE THE YES’S.
Which is so frustrating, but it’s true, and it makes sense. All you need is one yes, and you will get the right yes. In 10 years from now, it’ll be the yes’s you remember. Our rejections are just redirections to the path we’re truly meant to be on.

Did anyone applied to USC MT? according to their website, decision for pre-screen is not coming out until January, is that true?
My D submitted pretty much everything at the last minute even though we’ve known since the beginning of the year that it’s best to submit early rather than late. Submitted prescreens to Texas State and Rider on time and passed both. Waiting on everything else but we just submitted on 12/1.
Expected notification timeline:
Emerson - will notify within 2 weeks
CMU - within 3 weeks
CCM - mid December
Elon - by 1/19
Pace - within 2w
Penn State - 1/15
All others - rolling

Has anyone heard from Coastal Carolina? I submitted my prescreen October 30th and still haven’t heard back- their website says I would get a decision within 3 weeks and I still haven’t. I emailed them a week and a half ago and still no response. Anyone else having this problem?

Yes, USC has a different process. After the prescreen they invite a small group (50? 100? I can’t remember) to campus for the weekend to audition and then they decide. [quote=“misarb, post:47, topic:3648810, full:true”]

We are still waiting to hear back from the following prescreens:
UMich - submitted in the second round
Elon - not until January sometime?
Hartt - crickets from this one and no info on when results may be released
MSM - maybe this week?
Molloy/Cap21 - I think they said by Friday

I heard from Elon earlier this week
Anyone know if prescreen results could come over winter break? We were assuming if the school is on break already we won’t hear back til January when they’re back in session. This process is not for wimps! Really trying hard not to be on an emotional roller coaster with the unpredictability of it all. My daughter is a highly trained singer with much less acting experience so we were really shocked at the Carnegie Mellon outcome.
