My D also got CMU audition for acting instead of MT, she too is a trained singer and it was to our surprise as well. How many kids do they take for Acting, I start to think they are really trying to expand their acting program by enrolling more students as i had heard that two years ago from another parent.
There were few other kids that she had done community theatre with did not get a pass at all, so she was happy to at least get audition for Acting at CMU!
I just got a result, so I’m assuming some may be releasing results.

I also wanted to check in on Umich, Hartt, CCC and BoCo for whether we will be hearing back soon because I’m trying to book flights now. I submitted all around 30th November except BoCo 30th October and I’m getting pretty anxious about it. I don’t think i can afford to wait until right before I leave to schedule an audition within the next week. Any other internationals facing similar worries?
is your BOCO waitlist is for audition or decision for MT? Do they do waitlist for audition, i didn’t know that.
audition! i assume it’s to do with the number of auditionees but they said in the same email they’d get back to me mid-december, hence the freakout
