I’m w/ you cathymee. I was wondering the same thing.

Why is it so difficult for people to keep their marriage vows??
How can elected officials make such horrible decisions when so much is at stake?
I just don’t understand it.

The world is FILLING UP w/ idiots - let’s just hope there aren’t enough to elect Hillary or Obama!

“it matters little to me in terms of his being governor.”

I would feel the same way if call girls were legal, as I think they should be. But they aren’t. A governor (especially one who gained his office through his experience as a prosecutor) can’t maintain a hobby that involves committing federal crimes. This is a big deal, and he should probably resign.

bz2010
we may agree on Spitzer (who until further notice is my governor here in NY) but we’ll have to disagree on Obama…I’m a big time supporter, a true Obama-Mama.

Never in a million years would I ‘stand by my man’ in front of cameras looking lovingly like many women do. Heck, I wouldn’t stand by him another minute in a situation like this. I would be circling the wagons around my children to try and protect and comfort them.

I cannot for the life of me figure why some women do. Poor self-esteem? Political gain?

Could be the $$$ angle zoosermom, hadn’t crossed my mind. Probably because only an immediate ‘get the heck out’ would be my response. Seriously, Craig, Vetter, Clinton, etc…why do they stay???

Gov Spitzer is a Princetonian Class of 81. Wikipedia says he was chairman of the undergrad class. He spent his life cleaning up the state busting prostitutes etc. What a hypocrite!! I guess when you graduate from Princeton or one of those IVY schools You are above the law. There was a kid 6 months ago at Princeton who cracked a bottle over his head and falsely reported that he was attacked while he took up space in the ER. He was not punished though he broke the law nor was he in the least bit punished at Princeton. A week later a female was admitted with 10 others into the ER for alcohol poisoning. She was so drunk she " slugged" the nurse in the ER. No punishment for either action. I guess you can do just about anything behind the gates at that school and this attitude of better than everyone stays with you forever. Gov Spitzer holds himself out as “the Harbinger of Moral rectitude”. This is not a good day for Princetonians or maybe it is!!

Spitzer went out of his way to lecture others about their behavior based on his ethical standards. He sued those who did not break the law just to impose his view of right and wrong. He prosecuted prostitution rings in the past. Spitzer deserves maximum prosecution for his criminal behavior. It would only be appropriate to hold Spitzer to the same standard he espoused. I hope the wiretap tapes of his voice are played for everyone wanting to listen to them.

Meanwhile on the Princeton board they are correcting grammar and making excuses already for Gov Spitzer. Now that is exactly what that school is all about instead of seeing the hypocrisy. What do they do to the students and alumni there give them lobotomies before they graduate?
