Spanx. Teslas. Goat cheeses. All Expensive athletic shoes. Botox.
lobster. Tastes like the bottom feeder that it is.
Oooh, yes, can’t tolerate spicy foods. It makes H and me cough and very uncomfortable. Also, I can’t wear anything that squeezes me — have never worn any garment of that type because it worsens reflux and restricts my breathing. I also can’t tolerate any sort of heel over a wedge or many a very tiny one. I’m into comfort and things that I can wear for hours and miles.
I’m with you. I can’t wear anything in my ears for more than a few minutes.
I just ate at a New Haven pizza joint in Delray Beach Florida. Didn’t know New Haven pizza was a thing but it was very good.
But just because one puts a city in front - I’m a NY/Brooklyn pizza fan but they come in both good and not so good varieties.
I think there might be an exception to the high school/college rule. If you lived in a rural area (and state!), like I did, the pizza up through the early 1990s was all Domino’s style. I didn’t get consistently good pizza until grad school (in a West-Coast-influenced state). What are my preferences? I like NY style–but I can appreciate Chicago style as well.
I grew up in NJ, really only left for college in PA, the pizza was trash! I had no idea pizza could be so horrible. My MIL lives an hour west, bad pizza. Chains don’t last long by me, but I think there is a dominos a town over, children seem to like chain pizza. When my SIL’s come to visit (grew up here) we always get pizza, sandwiches and seafood salad with bread.
We live in bar pizza country. It’s different than other pizza, and I don’t believe most states have something that approximates it. I keep telling soccer son that I’ll stake him if he wants to open a bar pizza food truck in his college town. I told him to park it near the college bars after 11pm and he’d make a killing.
We had a food truck in college that made “poor man’s pizza” - basically pizza toppings on a hot sub roll. Opened from evening until 3 am near the frat houses and some of residence hall. After 11 pm, there was always at least an hour long line/wait for food. I’m sure they were minting money.
The first thing I thought of seeing this was the poop emoji.
I think we have bar pizza in NJ, this one is popular near me. https://startavern.net/
Hmmm to each their own. Without judgement.
I actually ordered this outfit upon request as a Christmas gift for my daughter and she looks adorable in it. Apparently if you style anything right - even “poop” you can truly make it look nice.
I can think of many appropriate places to go looking like this.
So you may not get the hype, but as said, things don’t become popular without someone liking it.
Pizza. Don’t get it.
I think it’s cute. I follow only one influencer, and she travels in these kinds of outfits, but more body-conscious.
I don’t think I ever had Domino’s Pizza. I don’t recall it being around in my formative years. When I cam to college in NJ there was never a need. There’s probably 20+ pizzerias with a three mile radius of my house. I am very pick about my pizza but do enjoy various styles.
I agree with @Mjkacmom. Lots of bars in NJ have bar pies. I used to live with walking distance from Star Tavern. They made THE best white clam pie.
What are your bar pies like?
It looks similar, but they appear to be larger. That may just be a perspective issue with the photo.
I drive to Lynwood Pizza every Sunday evening and bring home bar pies for my wife and me. I put them in a Patagonia Puffer Jacket for the ride back and they remain hotter than you might think(If Patagonia made a pizza bag I would buy one). Lynwood is, and has always been cash only. It’s a cash cow.
Soccer son heads back to school this weekend. Lynwood does “half cooked” pizzas. They half cook them then chill them and provide freezer bags for you. You then freeze them and when you want to eat them you pre-heat your oven to 500 degrees and cook them for 5 minuets. They come out perfectly. He’ll be transporting 10 frozen Lynwood pizzas in a cooler the 500 miles south to school.
Here’s a video about SSBP. @Googie31
Reminds me of the movie Back To The Future when the father asks his daughter why Michael J. Fox’s character is wearing underwear with another man’s name (Calvin Klein) on it.
I finally found an example of what I was thinking … wide-leg pant, slouchy top.
