My son received the National Buckeye and the Trustee Scholarship over the weekend. 31 ACT and weighted GPA 3.9. We will be visiting OSU for the first time next month. Good luck to all!

What kind of wait times have people been experiencing between acceptance to scholarship notice?
@adkdad : my son was admitted in early December - received scholarship notification last week. It seems osu is releasing scholarships in waves with the largest scholarship pairs offered 1st. According to one post, osu said they will continue to award scholarships until the money is gone. Good luck!
When/where does the scholarship info get reflected on BuckEye Link?
Does any know If they still have funds to give out the scholarship to regular decision applicants?
The notification came over a month after the acceptance letter and it was sent by mail. We don’t see it posted on line. My son applied by the Nov 1 deadline to be considered for scholarships.
Finally got word over the weekend that my son will be awarded both the Buckeye and the Trustee scholarship. We were starting to get really worried. Congratulations to all.
@carpediem–All I know is what the OSU scholarship website says–that the “Early Action” applicants receive first consideration for the “Admissions” merit scholarships (but you have probably seen that). Good luck!
Just got my letter today, Feb. 5. The letter is dated Jan. 27 (it takes a long time for my mail to travel from columbus!) I got the Nat’l buckeye scholarship! This definitely helps my chances of attending OSU.
@Texas2Ohio–Great news!!! As someone from a long line of OSU alums, I may be a bit biased, but I truly loved attending OSU and I would recommend it to anyone who likes Big Sports and great academics.
@Texas2Ohio - what was the date of you acceptance letter?
@adkdad I don’t know the exact date, but I was admitted in the first round of acceptances, right before Thanksgiving.

@tootiredtocare --thanks for the thanks. We are really over the moon here. Since OSU is a family tradition we are so happy we can afford for our son to attend. This OSU has a very generous OOS scholarship program. :). Congrats to your son also. Go bucks!!

@metalmonk28 - yes, notification for both scholarships were in the same letter.
My sons all came in one letter as well.
Ok thanks! I think I am fine with the 12k/year scholarship as this would bring the price down to less than University of California schools for me(CA resident).
