Also, I forgot to mention my extracurriculars which included various clubs and two sports I played while in high school as working part-time throughout high school. However, the main activity I focused on in my application was that I volunteer with a program that helps provide vision screening and glasses to elementary aged children that are underprivileged because I plan on going to optometry school after I obtain my bachelors degree.
@Soccerjack1 I think your extracurriculars, GPA and heavy course load sound great, however if you do get rejected it would probably be because of lacking chemistry, which may look bad as a Bio major. I was told (by admission staff at NCSU) that the reason I was probably rejected when I first applied was that I had not finished two of the competitive recommendations, even though I was enrolled in them. They take those seriously!
@Emberry I thought they said it was okay if you are enrolled in some of the required courses? I don’t know for sure, but I am assuming ur talking from experience, do uk for sure?
So they said that it was okay if you were enrolled in the required courses? It has me kinda nervous because I’m enrolled in calculus right now and that’s one of the required courses. I’m on track to get a 4.0 this semester and it would suck if they denied me because I didn’t have calculus done. Simply because I had to take my last high school math last year since I’m in a middle college and then took pre calc, trig, and now taking calculus all in consecutive semesters so I couldn’t have completed it any faster.
I know for a fact that Goodnight Scholar Finalists will be released on April 10th, (Tomorrow) Friday.
But for regular transfer admissions, it says our notification date is on April 15th. Unless they other wise release them earlier, it should be Wednesday of next week.
Y’ALL the option to withdraw your application is gone from my portal. I believe based on past years that means they have made decisions!
also @Soccerjack1 and @westernkid1121 i think they told me that about being enrolled in those two course because i had never taken higher level math or chemistry before, so they wanted to see how well i did in it, as my gpa was a bit on the lower side before that semester.
Mine is still there. Are you sure?
@chinamen Yeah the option to withdraw mine is still there.
Mine is gone, maybe they’ve made a decision for me?
Mine is also gone
Do they look at your SAT score if you have 30+ transferable credits by the time your enroll?
Mine is gone as well.
The admissions website also posted “Information for Transfer Students Pending Final Review” yesterday. Years past, it has been posted the day the decisions come out.
The withdraw option for me is still available. Don’t know what that means, but I will be very surprised if I get denied.
Mine is still there as well. Maybe they just haven’t added our decision to the portal yet? That’s the only thing I can think of.
Y’all… I’m just so freaking excited!! I know we all are ? My husband is transferring to NC State for Computer Engineering. He’s in a 2+3 program with UNC, computer science at UNCW and the engineering portion at NCSU.
We had to inform our apartment complex we will be moving with 90 notice, and managed to hear from the admissions at NCSU what our chances were before leaving our lease.
We got “the college is highly confident” that we will get in, they only needed to check “his student conduct record” which has been clear. So hopeful and excited to get word back!!! Good luck to all!
Would they come out at 5 if they were to come out today?
@skrtbomf I was thinking the same thing, but I would doubt that they would come out today. I think they will come out tomorrow at 5, but I don’t know for sure.
My withdrawl option for my application disappeared weeks ago. I guess it depends on when they make a decision and have completely processed all of the applications for applicants on a rolling basis. Good luck everyone and stay safe.
