Any schools that you guys would recommend ?

What is your budget? Are these schools affordable?

I have no budget, my parents started saving too early so we can basically afford any college. They told me not to worry about the prices but rather the education.

I would suggest you visit any college you are considering for ED. You might not like one or more.

Your list is well balanced but do you really want to apply to that many colleges?

If you like your safeties then feel free to apply anywhere.

That being said, there are a lot of schools on this list that will require many essays and lots of work.

Also- I would not ED unless you have a clear first choice school.

which ed do you think is the most realistic? I’ve been to all of them before.
Is cornell too hard?

I would not look at ED this way. I would only ED to the school that is truly your top, top choice.

How are my ecs looking? And will my GPA weigh everything down even with a high sat? Do I need to explain why my GPA is so low in my essay

I really am sticking to emory, cornell and john hopkins, and I need help deciding considering the fact I’ve visited all of them.
I just want my ed to be the highest chance I can get into a school.

I think your ECs are great, but some schools are a reach regardless. If there is a story regarding your gpa, I would ask your guidance counselor to discuss it.

There is not. My test taking skills are simply just a lot better, and juggling through my classes with teachers that aren’t great to my learning level reflect off. Anything I can do to increase my chances of getting into UT austin? My friend last year got capped with a 1490. (I am also instate)

It is a big mistake to write about your gpa being ā€œlowā€ (it’s not low) because of the teachers.

If you do not have a clear top choice, I would not apply ED.

Why so? What if I choose like emory to ed? That increases my chances to like 30% rather than applying rd

Define Radiologic Sciences ?

Are you potentially looking to be a Radiation Therapist ?

That’s a niche major. In Texas, Texas State. In my state, Austin Peay or MTSU.

As for chancing, with your gpa, rank, lack of math and science rigor (no ap, no calc), I’d say

Tampa a safety but academically holds no chops near your other safeties.

A&M a reach based on rank, and your reaches are that - with Tulane the only possibility - but slim. But they are reaches for a reason.

If you like that type of school, look at Brandeis (a bit smaller) and Miami. For an easier admit Denver and College of Charleston, where lots of kids take advantage of the proximity to MUSC. UVM too - in a nice city. Lehigh, Syracuse and SMU would be others to consider. But would be targets at best. But really reaches but SU is need aware so full pay can win

But if you want to be a Radiation Therapist, then likely none on your list.

Correct me if I’m wrong on your rigor. You have great ECs but those don’t necessarily compensate for academics.

Ps - you have Baylor. Many Jesuit schools are in nice cities.

Not radiation therapist, Im likely seeking more on nurse anesthesiologist but i am also leaning towards physician assistant .

I’d say your list is polarizing (meaning safe or reach only) but you have a lot of nice safeties.

If you like smaller, how about Trinity ? Still a reach. Or real small Southwestern - not in a city. ?

Yo be a PA or nurse anesthesiologist will be more schooling cost and where you go undergrad will have little impact.

I know a recent Vandy grad. Not great grades. She overstepped for PA and has yet to find a home. You need to excel - the top names or not top names will matter near zero or zero.

Reality - imho - you’re not a top school or even near top candidate. Doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try - but UNT, TTU, Houston (not on your list) are great schools if that’s where you end up.

UT and A&M are so big - if you want large publics, there’s lots of them too you’d get into in nice cities. Colorado State, Arizona,Arkansas (really nice city), and more.

I missed Purdue. It’s very likely but it’s in a small city. So not in a nice ā€˜city’ as you define. Butler would work there though - mid size near Indy.

Good luck.

thank you! do you think I have a chance at a&m or UT with my sat score and ecs?

If you are considering a nurse anesthesiologist then you first need to be a nurse and get work experience.

Hard has nothing to do with choosing an ED school. YOU need to decide which school is your top choice and IF you want to make a commitment to attend if accepted. Otherwise, apply RD everywhere. BUT if any colleges have EA or rolling admissions, get those applications in early.

If there is some good reason (not an excuse….a reason), your school counselor should address this, not you, in my opinion. And thinking your teachers are the issue is NOT going to sit well with the admissions folks anywhere.

These are all challenging admits for your ED choices. Make lists of pros and cons of each of these colleges. Maybe that will help you.

And if you really can’t decide…apply RD to them.

UT nope. A&M you are so far off rank. Maybe Galveston.

But if you want these, then you don’t ED to mid size.

And if you want biggies like these - with TTU you can be done. Or add ASU, Ohio State and then you’re done. Big, nice cities and large schools. Arkansas and Kentucky also meet this.

Gpa and rigor are most important.
You are solid but not spectacular. Sorry.

There’s really no difference large flagship to large flagship. They’re all great.

And you are going to further school. Again, don’t be name driven.

Find fits. Is that urban UT or sprawl A&M?

If you want shadowing, might schools connected to a medical center like UAB work. Or a Va Tech (not city) that offers shadowing on campus ?
