Man all of the ED applicants have kinda made me glad that I’m a transfer lol! I’ve had to wait in a different way. Hoping that we all get some good news soon!

Great news @Georgia122 - two of my D’s best friends are in Meisner and both love it.
@caMom13 is there any chance she might be able to talk with them? This is all so new and she would love to hear about their experiences.
@BloomingGirl My GE credits should transfer, while my theatre credits probably won’t. I’m really excited that I’ve been assigned to Playwrights! I can’t wait to get started and meet all these other amazing performers!

@BloomingGirl I’m super excited that I’ll get to learn about acting, writing, and directing. I’m also excited that I’ll be meeting people who might be future directors or writers (as opposed to just actors). Not 100% sold on the design aspect, but maybe they’ll change my mind! If anyone knows others who were also put into PH please let me know!

As far as I can tell my son hasn’t gotten an email yet. Any ideas on where I should tell him to look? Not in his regular email or spam, not in his NYU email either.
@TenaciousC my daughter’s email was in her NYU account, but went to spam there oddly enough. Check that.

@TenaciousC - there was a Dad on FB who said his D thought she was checking her NYU mail but was on another gmail account - and yes, the email went to spam too!
It was in his spam folder!! He didn’t check that until about 11 PM last night.
Playwrights Horizons!!
That was a bit of a surprise, but I think it’s exciting. I think he’s nervous. Happy to hear from anyone with experience in that studio! He’ll be with you, @alwayshp394 ! Congrats to you on that placement!

@BloomingGirl I think D got her assignment in mid July last year. Who knows if it will be the same this year. Her assignment for this year has not been confirmed yet.
Big news everyone! Per email, Freshmen now have a chance to find a roommate themselves! This is a major change but makes a lot of sense this year. NYU has traditionally paired freshmen from geographically distant home locations in order to maximize cultural exchange and challenge their students to get outside their home “box” but this year has some unique challenges. Having student choose their roommates and allowing students from the same home location to room together is an obvious pandemic accommodation.
