I don’t need to see any of the players in the JIT again LOL.
I am a big fan of Survivor, and I hate the All-Star seasons, game is much more fun with new players.
Similarly, the TOC is OK, but all of these new tournaments are unnecessary–give us “regular” contestants.
I like the tournaments. I’ve gotten out of the habit of watching.
I’m ready for some good ole regular Jeopardy.
I actually feel like some of the recent regular games have been kind of weak. Not sure if it’s because of the tournaments, where the best of the best are competing. In that sense, I would prefer to see fewer tournaments. But darn, I’m enjoying seeing the “old” players again. I mean, it was worth it just to see how Skylar has changed since he was an awkward kid who cleaned up with his bets.
A triple stumper in FJ with two of the responses being MASH?!? I know these contestants are young, but really?!?
Yeah, I got that one easily. MASH doesn’t even make sense.
All these triple stumpers in Final Jeopardy this week. So strange.
I was surprised that none of them got the sea captain a couple of days ago.
However, I like to get at least one question that none of the contestants get. If nothing else it allows me to pretend that I am not all that old yet.
OR you are old and the contestants are too young to get a reference…
I don’t believe anyone here is a contemporary of Captain Bligh. Regardless, I knew it.
Current champion Liam Starnes is playing well, but my goodness, he looks like a baby!
Decades ago, I looked very young for my age (frequently mistaken for a high school student when I was in my late 20s) so I know it’s not always a positive thing. But he is fun to watch.
Remember, he said he was born during Ken’s run as a contestant
Every time I look at him, I think: Young Sheldon!
The guy knows a lot of stuff for a young pup.
I recognize that I was presuming based on stereotype, but I was surprised how well he did in the sports category, even if they all whiffed on ice dancing.
I missed Monday, so when I started yesterday’s show I wondered if it was High School week. I had to wait until one of the others answered a question to see that they were ‘regular’ age.
I absolutely love that there is an avenue for intelligent young people to publicly shine. When young adults are on regular Jeopardy (as opposed to the college tournament) and win, I’m just so impressed. They have to know such a wide range of information. Sometimes I wonder how the heck younger people know the answer to questions I wouldn’t think anyone younger than I could possibly know.
The lawyer who Liam defeated on his first day had done so well in the previous game, taking down a multiple-day champ, I figured the lawyer would have Liam and the 3rd player, a young woman for lunch—boy was I wrong!!
This recent run on Jeopardy is the strongest evidence that I have seem for the existence of time travel. Obviously some Hollywood producer is watching Jeopardy now, and is about to go back in time to 2006 or 2007 and start producing the Big Bang Theory.
Or it might just be a coincidence.
