A great game last night!
Go, Liam! I’m glad he won his fifth game.
I was watching top chef in canada, nd two of the jeopardy players were on the show. Amy and mattea
James Holthauer (SP) declined his invitation to play in the Masters tournament this year.
I can think of about six others that I wish had also declined. Meanwhile, the ratings for the premiere plummeted. Perhaps others are also worn out by the same old same old.
I like ‘regular’ Jeopardy, not so many tournaments and championships and masters, and kings. I like to know the answers (occasionally) as it makes me feel smart. The tournaments and specials have to have obscure topics (like chemistry) and I like things like Girl Scouts and Books with Colors in the Title. There is too much Inside Baseball with the Masters tournament.
I haven’t watched Masters. I enjoy regular Jeopardy and the TOC – I don’t need a lot more than that. Definitely do not need to see the same contestants come back multiple times.
Nice to have another super champion! Scott seems like a nice kid. Engineers can be well-rounded, who knew!
I am amazed and impressed at the breadth of his knowledge!
And the speed of his buzzer finger!
I’m impressed by his enunciation and his handwriting - both very clear.
I have been bothered lately by Ken … he seems to scoff at wrong answers a bit too condescendingly. Is it just me, or have any of you picked up on that vibe?
I like Ken and I think he tries to put fun into it. I thought Alex was condescending. At least Ken’s been on the hot seat himself.
Scott is now tied for tenth place for number of consecutive wins. He’s ranked 8th in Jeopardy for total winnings in regular season play.
Today is the final episode of the season. While the premiere date for season 42 hasn’t been announced, the summer hiatus is generally 6 weeks.
Oh, shoot. I wondered when the season ended. ![]()
Being as Friday was the last episode of the season, one has to wonder if Scott wanted to go on with his life. Thoughts? After all, we can all be an armchair quarterback!
Well, I was surprised he missed FJ
I had the same thought. Scott had been on the show 17 times. Depending on when his run started that could have been 4 days of taping (they tape 5 shows/day). I assume he went back to NJ in between or paid to stay in a local hotel. He won a very large amount and will be back to win more in the next TOC. It was a comfortable time to lose.
He sure had a lot of clothing with him if he didn’t return home!
My thought was that he didn’t choke on the FJ questions, but thought it was a perfect time to end his streak. The stress of multiple games in one day can get to the best of them.
Look forward to seeing him in TOC.
