<p>I’m a big Crystal fan, but I think she’s making a mistake to not let the stylists do more with her. Her layers of clothing and heavy hair are contributing to the perception that she is “depressed” as one poster put it or too serious. I do think she needs to lighten up her look. I distinctly remember some years ago when Simon told Jennifer Hudson she needed to get help with the clothes she was wearing – and he was right. I never see Jennifer Hudson perform now without noticing how beautiful she looks and how fabulously she is dressed – she obviously learned along the way that you can keep a look, but make it a fabulous look. As Simon likes to say, “It’s a competition.” You don’t go to a job interview in your favorite outfit – you go in something that looks professional. Similarly, I think the contestants should realize that there are things they still need to learn and that it’s television, and you look different on television than you do at the local coffeehouse.</p>

<p>Crystal is from my area. She’s been singing in a few coffee houses. I don’t think she has much money. </p>

<p>I guessed that Crystal did not come from money based upon her teeth. She needs some serious cosmetic dental work.</p>

<p>toledo , I don’t think that her Siobhan’s family is particularly wealthy. My niece and best friend’s son both went to high school with her and she was quite active with the Barnstable High School’s drama dept. I think everyone on the Cape is so excited about her advancement on AI …like my friend says , " it has been a welcome break from the glum winter months " The local paper seems to have a story about her daily…I like the one about her tattoo, and I don’t care for tats ( but it is a depiction of a local author / artist that I really enjoyed , Edward Gorey )
I know that someone from either my family or a friend was just telling me about her greandfather, either being a judge or selectman…it escapes me at the moment.
Her parents were sort of outcasts in a way in school…sort of artsy / angry non-conformists that were part of an alternative group of students that had their own special name for their school within the school…it was called ALP. I remember them shouted out slurs at my friends and I as we walked to school…kind of funny to think about now !</p>

<p>Wow!! Paige was awful tonight.</p>
<p>Anyone watching? So far Paige and Tim went. Paige was AWEFUL. She was all over the place, no pitch at all. The judges gave it to her and told her she was basically finished tonight. Too bad. </p>
<p>Tim did “Crazy Little thing Called Love”. He was adorable and cute but boring. Think he will be fine. The tween girls went nuts for him. </p>
<p>Aaron is up next and he has laryngitis. Don’t know if he can sing tonite.</p>
<p>Considering his laryngitis, he is managing OK. He sang I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing. He is def. struggling with his notes but…eeking it through. I think Paige’s disaster will save him.</p>
<p>Crystal is up next singing Bobbie Magee. She has a nice voice.</p>
<p>Randy got very excited about Crystal’s performance. I just want her to take out her piercing.</p>
<p>Judges LOVED Crystal. Simon was gushing over her. Said he wouldn’t change a thing. Funny, she performed on a 8 X 6 rug (on the stage). She said that it was homey.</p>
