GO Katie–it was her best night yet!
(She won’t surpass Crystal, but I hope she hangs in there a few more weeks.)

I really enjoyed Katie’s performance.

I agree with Simon that Katie could definitely be a star in country music. She has a tone to her voice that would be perfect for it…ala Carrie Underwood.

I cringed when I heard it was a Beatles night but after watching, felt it was a pretty good show overall. I loved Siobhan and Casey, Crystal and Katie were also excellent.
I normally love Lee but for some reason felt the key was too high for him and didn’t care for it as much as the judges. Maybe the difference was live vs tv. In the bottom two were Aaron and Andrew. I must say I enjoyed the video clips about each contestant as viewed from the perspective of their fellow idols. Seems like a terrific bunch of kids.

I have to agree with everyone else tonight that Katie sounded better than she had before. My D was disappointed in Lee as he is her favorite. Crystal sounded great as usual and I agree that Casey was the best of the guys.

We have tickets to go the the AI results show tonight, but are going to have to miss it as both D’s have tests tomorrow (senior and sophomore in hs). My H and I decided not to go without the girls (he and I went to AI 2 years ago), although we wanted to!

^^^ oh man! Go to the show!! The girls can study on their own!

Watching the results show. Bottom three are all guys. Michael, Aaron and Andrew. Aaron got to go sit down. Now between Michael and Andrew…the one going home is…

OMG, MICHAEL is going home (is going to sing for his second chance now).

I’m done; no more AI for me if this is not the “save” used…

And the judges decided…

YES…they used the save… Michael is safe!!!

Wew!! That was a close one!

I guess I have to start voting again; have been kinda lax on this one…

The sucky thing is that next week they lose two at once though…

Yes, I haven’t been voting either but I will start next week, especially since they lose two at once.

Wow, this is the first time I read this thread. No need to bother to watch the results show now!

I do understand why Michael was bottom 3. He is extremely good, but he comes across as SO arrogant. “The reason I sing, is for the people…I just do it for the people.” Kind of sickening! I don’t think he’ll be top 5.

I don’t think he’ll be top five either. I do think there are a few others who should be voted off before him though. I can’t complain though since I never vote.

Michael does come arrogant, but I still can’t understand why Andrew is still there? any explanations?

I agree that some may not like “Big Mike” because he is arrogant, but he is much more talented than Tim or Andrew. What are those two still doing there?

I could understand the teeneage vote on Tim, but Andrew? Admit, I haven’t been voting, but who is voting for him enough to leave a more talented singer in the bottom 2?
I think next week Mike will go though, along with Andrew.

Well, at least Tim or Andrew will have to go next week. The vote for the worst vote can only keep one in.

American Idol wardrobe dept. needs to understand that a guy as big as Mike should not be dressed in skinny jeans. Did anyone else notice this?

At this point in the show, I don’t even care who gets voted off. IMO–their talent ranges from average to stinky. People seem to rave about Crystal, Mike, and Lee but the truth is, they appear to sound good only because their competition on the show is low. Even they would have been voted off had they been on the Idol shows of years ago.

Tim can’t sing at all but he’ll probably end up on some Disney channel tween show. I don’t think he really cares anyway. He seems to be happy enjoying the moment more than worrying about a future in the business.

I think this show has run its course. Simon is smart to jump of the train wreck after this season.
