New TV Season and the One Show You Can't "Miss"

Modern Family
The League
It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia
30 Rock
GLEE

Now that Lost is off the air, I’ve taken a liking to Mad Men. Have spent the last few weeks catching up via DVD.

When I can remember I’ll also watch Grey’s Anatomy and Brothers and Sisters.

How about the new NBC show “Outsourced” —or something like that?

Clearly I spend too much time on the phone talking to customer service in India. The whole concept seems great! I just hope it’s good!
Thursday nights I think.

Mizzbee and I could live in the same house all summer with one TV and never have to fight for the remote!

My favorite summer shows (many of which are just ending) are Closer, Rizzoli & Isles, Warehouse 13, Burn Notice, Covert Affairs, White Collar and Psych.

The fall brings DWTS, Castle, Bones, Fringe, Criminal Minds, Medium and Law & Order: Criminal Intent.

New shows that I’m going to check out–Nikita and Law & Order: LA.

Shows I hope they renewed: V

[Yes, I watch too much TV…]

Medium
The Mentalist
Modern Family

Comedy: In The Middle, Modern Family, Big Bang Theory, Rules of Engagement

Drama: Parenthood

Community
Community
Community

Funniest show I have seen in long time and it seems like almost no one is watching it.

Community has really improved. My kids love it. The paintball episode was great.

Mad Man is S’s and my favorite show (I just wish he didn’t think Don Draper was the coolest thing around.) Before he left this fall, he made sure there was cable in the dorms so he could watch it. We have a running text conversation every Sunday night when it’s on. I also love Southland and Men of a Certain Age.

Bones is my favorite. I also enjoyed what I saw of Sundays Seahawks vs 49ers game- especially after the 1st qtr.

Anyone watch A&E’s “Hoarders”? Last night’s episodes were quite shocking. It seems like these people need more mental help than just cleaning up the mess…the counselors don’t seem very helpful.

I’m looking forward to Dexter and House.

I’ll miss 24 come January, but recent seasons were not nearly as good as the early seasons.

We love the USA shows in the summer. Covert Affairs is excellent and LOVE White Collar.

Looking forward to Grey’s Anatomy & Castle starting back up.

A new year with no Lost to look forward to…oh well…have to find a new favorite!

House

That’s it. Except the Phillies are on…a LOT. :)

I want to give “The Good Wife” a try. And I sometimes tune into The Medium. Maybe MadMan.

I miss ER. Saw one of the stars (Maura?) on the cover of Parade magazine…she’s recovering from Breast Cancer and starring in a new show - don’t remember the name. I didn’t recognize her from her front page picture but she looks great!

My fall lineup looks like this-

Glee
Gossip Girl
Fringe
Vampire Diaries
90210
Next Top Model
Nikita
The Event
Undercovers
Hellcats
Outlaw
Hawaii Five-0

Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show (Nov. 30)
Kennedy Center Honors (Dec. 28)
Greek (Season Premier Jan. 2011)

My DVR is going to get a workout this fall :)

Parenthood, Community, Glee.

Parenthood is quintessential Ron Howard: earnest and predictable at times, but always done with commitment, competence, and attention to detail. The cast is excellent, and the writing usually gives them something solid to work with. The climactic episode last season was the kind of brazenly effective tear-jerking that makes hard-core cynics homicidal and leaves everybody else in a puddle on the floor.

Another Community fan raises her hand! The painball fight was soooo hilarious, DH and I laughed non-stop. We usually watch the entire Thursday night comedy lineup on NBC: Community, Parks and Recreation (it reminds me of our little town’s politics), the Office, 30 Rock.

Shows I want to watch, but keep forgetting to turn on the tv or I just don’t know when these are on (times are EST):

**Mad Men/b
**House/b
**Big Bang Theory/b
**Modern Family/b

The only shows I consistently watch are
Sunday morning. My absolute favorite. (sun @ 9am),
**60 minutes/b

Top Chef! Especially Top Chef Masters!

NOTHING that requires me to watch every week, “catch up”, or pay attention from one commercial to the next. Or if I have to pay attention, it should be on “On Demand”.

But I watch Seinfeld, Frasier, and Columbo reruns religiously.

Also like Bones, Burn Notice, The Mentalist, and that one about the “Concierge” medical practice on USA.

^Royal Pain

limabeans, Modern Family is on ABC at 9 on Wednesdays. I believe that Season 2 premiers on the 22nd. I also love CBS Sunday Morning. They have the most interesting stories of any magazine-type news show, and I think that Charles Osgood would be such an interesting person to meet.
