@puneetkumarbajaj, How did you get to know about the waitlist? We are still waiting on decision, no updates on portal. Emailed them multiple times and get the same reply that it is still under review and will be updated ASAP. Didn’t check with them yet this week. If anyone has any latest info please d share.
My son also is waitlisted for honors college. It shows on the portal as waitlist. I called the Albert dorman honors college today to inquire regarding the timeframe to notify for final decision. The answer I got was very discouraging. The admissions lady said that there is no timeframe for letting us know, which means you will have to wait beyond May or June. This was a ridiculous answer. Then I asked what would happen to the housing in case he gets selected and she says that there would be no guarantee if he would get to stay in the honors dorms. He might have to stay in the regular dorms.
This is really a uncertainty, so we decided that we would wait until April and then give deposit to my son’s other choice college. Hope this response helps everyone waitlisted for the honors college.
Btw: I also called honors college housing to cross check and the lady there said there are already 60 students on waitlist to get a spot for the honors college dorm.
@engg2020, Thank you for the update., but could you please let me know how did you come to know that your son is waitlisted, does it show on the portal or did you get an email?
Its really discouraging to hear their response, if everything is so uncertain they can as well deny the honors college admission.

This is my opinion: I think the honors college has given out the acceptances to all their applicants and are now putting the rest on the waitlist. It’s a waiting game, if the applicants who already got in deny their spot, you get their seat. But then is it worth all the stress and uncertainty. It would be better to send my son to the college who has already admitted him.
@HelloWorld123 I had 1410 SAT (1420 Superscore) and had 80,86,78,85.6 in Grades 9,10,11,12 respectively (CBSE). And no I didn’t recieved any mail about the waitlist. I was just randomly checking on my portal and saw it there.

I’m Still waiting to hear back though 
We emailed HC and they replied that the had 2400 applications for less than 150 spots, and that most spots are filled but they will keep pulling people off of waitlist for the next few months. So I guess if we haven’t heard by now we are waitlisted.

Even tough I submitted HC application as early as October, I’d be waitlisted just because they haven’t been reviewed yet. Really weird on their part.
I got the impression that DS’s application was reviewed but he wasn’t admitted to HC on the first pass. If I had to guess, I would say those of us who haven’t heard one way or another will get a spot if someone else declines their spot. Maybe they want to keep us hanging so we don’t commit somewhere else just in case they have room for us in the coming days or weeks. Still frustrating to not know where we stand.

Is there a facebook group for accepted students or another way for accepted students to interact with each other before deciding who they’d like to dorm with?

Not any mention of the honors college on my portal except for the received documents… I received my decision for the school itself in January. I emailed in late February and they told me decisions would be out “in a few weeks”; whats the hold up?
Just got an email invitation to join the Dean’s Scholar program instead of Honor college. I’ll have to check further into what the difference is between the two programs.
@four4College, Same here. According to the email they are still reviewing the application for Dorman’s Scholar, but meanwhile they offered Dean’s Scholar Program. They also mentioned that if we are not able to be part of Dorman’s Honors college this year we can apply to the same after first year and will be given priority. Not sure about the housing, will we be offered honors housing as a Dean’s Scholar…any extra scholarships will be offered? why are they making it so complicated.
The Honors College additional scholarship applications are due on April 1! How am I supposed to apply if I don’t even know if I’ve been accepted or not!
Just received email DS accepted into ADHC. No new finacial aid package as of yet. If FA gets a significant increase we will have a tough decision between ADHC and Northeastern. Any opionions?
My kid got accepted to both. NE gave a good amount (2nd to RPI) but we couldn’t pass up NJIT’s offer from a financial point of view even though a co-worker said that NE’s coop program was good.
In the end, all was good as my kid had great CS internships from summer of first year to last year, and all set to work after graduation this May. Hoping nothing changes due to this covid issue.
