Non-Sports People?

Hey,

First of all, I will admit that I am a nerd. I have a 4.0 GPA, and am in drama, choir, NHS, and I volunteer. However, everyone always tells me that if I am not in a sport, then I won’t do as well as others. But, I know about teamwork, winning and losing, and responsibility. There really isn’t a sport that I like. I just want to know, is there anybody else that really isn’t in a sport?

Me. I dislike sports. Most of my friends are obsessed of some kind of sport, but i stand out. I don’t really care, though. I mostly care about my academics in school :)

I’m sorry but how can someone dislike sports? What better way is there to lay off some steam, socialize and do something fun?

I don’t dislike sports, but I’m not in a sport either. I do swim occasionally and even more rarely, I do run.

^^Play an instrument, solve puzzles, act, whatever interests them… Not everyone is athletic
I don’t do sports and I know plenty of people who get in colleges without any sports in there resume, one of them is heading off to Princeton this fall.

I used to wreck in basketball, then I stopped in freshman year and regretted it since.

I don’t play any sports cause I’m not good at any :/

If I did try out for one of the sports teams at my school…I would be beaten by all the kids who have been in sports since middle school

Honestly, sports are the only thing that keep me excited about the week. lol.

I would if it weren’t for all the popular kids lol.

Yeah, I’m not really a sports person either… I’ve just never been good at any of the ones I’ve tried. I ride horses, but that’s a pretty solitary thing :P

I’m kind of athletically challenged, but sports are required here so i play. I actually enjoy soccer now [even though I suck].

If you’re not athletic but you’ve got leadership/motivational skills and you’re somewhat small, see if there are any crew programs in your area. Being a coxswain is the bomb.

I like to watch them, but I don’t play them. I’m not entirely horrendous at hockey, but any other sport…lol.

I like sports, LOVE watching soccer and basketball, but don’t play that well. And if I play, it’s just for fun, since I don’t have the discipline necessary to practice and stuff.

Besides, I’m more interested in artistic things like music, writing, and acting (:

The one sport I really want to get into is soccer. Every one person out of four is talking about international soccer and honestly the hype is so big that I want to jump on that bandwagon.

Even if that’s probably my worst sport :P

My life would be really dull if I didn’t have sports in my life… I do read a lot, and do like going to coffee shops, but nothing is better to me than going out and playing a pick-up game of basketball or going to tennis practice.

To each his own, i guess.

Sports are required at my school, so I run during the fall and spring, and then mess around in our last place soccer team during winter lol.

I just don’t get how people don’t do sports. you guys don’t even like 1 sport? There are ones that don’t require a lot of athleticism like golf

I used to play tennis… on the Wii

Did the football/basketball/track thing for a few years, but didn’t play any sports last year (junior) and won’t play this year, either. I don’t regret it. I run every day and still like messing around with basketball – plus I hike/backpack/ski and that sort of thing, so it isn’t like I’m devoid of physical activity. Just didn’t enjoy the organized stuff enough to choose it over music and other ECs.

I’m not that fond of sports, nor am I very good at any of them. Actually, I’m terrible. :stuck_out_tongue:
I just try to join and do well in other stuff. xD
