The area within the wolfpack portal to submit honors went away for me as well a few weeks ago–so I’m assuming they took it away to roll out decisions
I’m thinking it could have been a mistake, the link to declare my honors acceptance is not valid? So maybe they released the decision too early or theyre doing it in batches
interesting…so the link in the email gets a 404 error or something?

Yes, the link to the acceptance form goes to a page that says “access denied” on the ncstate website.
The email says they received over 10,000 applications this year–so if they stay around their traditional numbers i guess it’s a 5% acceptance rate

Deferred honors until April 4 (in state). Accepted to first choice major EA. Email encourages attendance at the Honors portion of Admitted Students Day.

did anyone else who is deferred EA get this deferral email?
We were stunned last year at how few were selected and my kid was honored to be offered a spot. Ultimately they chose UNC.
To show how crazy things are, her friend who got into Duke was turned down for NC State honors college (perfect ACT, perfect grades).

the link works now! it seems i was actually accepted to the honors program because I had to login to view the link

Definitely a lot randomness and luck in the whole college application process since essays and ECs are factors evaluated by humans and hence, these are not objective like ACT/SAT scores and grades (you could argue about grades in HS though averaged over teachers and four years they are more or less fair).
I read on both this thread and other threads many applicants who get in into their reach colleges but are surprised not getting into their target ones.
admitted daughter just got an email that says, honors decision on april 4 for her…can’t decide yet. i guess this is EA honors deferral?
I am still curious if everyone got this deferral notice. As mentioned my daughter got it even though she is not admitted yet (deferred from EA)
We were deferred early action to regular decision and got the same honors email that Honors College decisions would come out by April 4th.We did apply to the Honors College but I don’t think we will get it. I wonder if this is a good sign that we might get an acceptance in March!! And we just got the email today.

My kid was accepted to NCSU during the EA round back in late Jan but got what seems to be a deferral for Honors. Will let him know in April. He’s likely to commit elsewhere so won’t matter. He did submit his Honors app subsequent to the Nov 1 application deadline, like near the Jan 3 Honors deadline.
Curious if all deferred students are able to access and register for admitted students day. We clicked on one of the dates available and we logged in with our portal credentials and it gave us the option to register even though it says for admitted students. So wondering if everyone who has been deferred is able to access and do this as well.
My daughter is deferred and we are able to register as well.
