Any stats on how many were offered a spot on the waitlist?
D24 got deferred in EA and just got into Global Scholars program for CS with Dean’s scholarship. Is there an option to Switch to Boston campus now ?
Deferred → Rejected
S24 deferred from EA and now waitlisted. 3.97 uw / 4.6 w gpa. 1530 SAT, varsity athlete/captain.
agh rejected after being deferred (not surprised). did not show that much interest (but did submit LOCI). 34 ACT, competitive private high school that doesn’t do GPA/rank, very strong ECs. oh well, not too pressed.
Same. 4.0UW/4.5W. 35ACT, decent ECs including a 4-year varsity athlete.
Just got a rejection from NEU. It was a stretch, so not a surprise. On to the next!
No. Decisions are final.
D24 deferred from EA now waitlisted RD. Not seeing many acceptances and of the few, none Boston campus.

didn’t write a LOCI, but this is my third waitlist in a row so im feeling a little perturbed!! 1590, 3.97 uw, good ecs
Hi, the regular NU Parents Facebook group has good info and there are parent FB groups for Global Scholars but I don’t know those. The main group looks like this.
DD just accepted to NUin after being deferred EA. Did not fill out LOCI so this was a shock! No merit. Mechanical Engineering and physics.
Correction. DD just noticed merit for being NMF $12,500 per year.
Haven’t heard or seen a single RD acceptance to Boston campus. Does anyone know someone who has?
Does your student have to have committed to NE before you can join those FB groups, I wonder?
I believe admitted but not committed is ok.
Daughter applied RD and just got waitlisted. First selective decision she got so she’s a tab bummed out over the decision. She thinks it might be predictive of the rest of her RDs.
My son was also deferred at EA, got accepted in RD to the Global Scholars program. We are from WA state! Love to know more…
Waitlisted - RD.
Rank 1/300, 1570 SAT, Research, NMF, USPhO semifinalist, All State Band 3 years, 4x AIME qualifier, and more.
Not surprised since he didn’t apply EA and his classmates with lower stats and ECs that applied EA were all accepted. Surprisingly, he’s not disappointed as it wasn’t his top choice.
D24 rejected, but she’s gotten in to one of her top choices already (UNC Chapel Hill OOS) so this didn’t bother her too much. But I think it adds a little stress to the upcoming decisions of her reach schools. 36 ACT, 1550 SAT, IB Diploma, 3.97 uw, 5.1 w, NMF, average (non-spectacular) EC’s. I’m curious about the stats of students who were accepted RD to Boston.
