Are results coming out tomorrow? I would really love to hear back from at least one school, even if it is a rejection.
@TurboPlo I would say most likely there will be a wave tomorrow based on previous years.
The wait is actually killing me, I need a distraction
TIME TO SUMMON ༼ つ ◕◕ ༽つGIVE WAVE NORTHWESTERN ༼ つ ◕◕ ༽つ
fingers crossed for good news tomorrow!
I’m so nervous. Does anyone know what time??
@oceansquare I think I saw somewhere that acceptances usually come around 11 AM C and denials come around 5:30-6 C? Something like that. I’m not 100% about those times/not sure if the time actually correlates with whether it’s an acceptance/denial. I am certainly open to correction
Has anyone been accepted yet? I’ve seen the few rejections, but don’t know how significant a small number of rejections are.
@Ashtash Thank you!
Also, sometimes no news could be better than any news.
@whereto2022 All I saw were rejections during the first round. Which seems to follow last year’s as well.
Based off last year’s thread, it appears that a few decisions came out 4/25 and started rolling out heavily after 5/2…do we have anything backing previous statements that a few decisions might come out tomorrow?
@summit3 It makes sense if you look at the 2015-2017 transfer threads and the fact that the first “wave” (it seemed to be more like a ripple) of denials came out about 2 weeks ago. It certainly wouldn’t be a surprise if decisions come tomorrow, but we really have no idea. I’m quite certain another wave will arrive either this week or next week. It’s still just a guessing game though
Will the second wave be a mix of rejections and acceptances? or will there be more acceptances than rejections…?
@wkdalswjd yeah this next wave should be a mix, I am not sure on the mix but I’m pretty sure it’s still early in their whole admission process so I wouldn’t be surprised if there are more rejections just because those are probably easier for the AOs to decide. But last yeah there seemed to be a lot of optimism for the second and especially the third wave which if the second is tmr, could be as soon as next week. Honestly this is all conjecture but that’s what I have seen from past years
Y’all can correct me if I’m wrong
@Ashtash yeah I saw those times too but I think they were in EST but I’m not sure
I’m willing to bet people will be accepted at around 11:30am today, and more will be rejected later this evening. Based on my research, people accepted this early come from places like Notre Dame, Emory, and other good schools with near 4.0 high school and college GPAs and near perfect test scores.
@karlmarxismydad hahaha I’m applying out of Notre Dame so I can only hope. Northwestern has always been my first choice!
I’m applying from NYU so I’m not as confident about it haha! Good luck to you!
Has anyone heard back yet?
You as well! NYU is a great school- it was among my top choices when I was making my decisions the first time around. It’s gotten increasingly competitive as well; I wouldn’t count yourself out!
I haven’t heard anything back
I haven’t heard anything, but I just saw the the Facebook group for 2019 transfers was made four days ago and currently has 8 members
I’m on California time, but since Chicago is 2 hours ahead - I’m assuming that they’re on that time. So maybe we wait for another hour or so? They might not even send anything out at all today. We shall see.
